Tear Stain Remover Combs for Dogs, Gently and Effectively Removes Crust, Mucus, and Stains

I have a Goldendoolde who had very weepy eyes as a pup due to a blocked tear duct. These combs have been life savers! When I first got Jane, I struggled to keep her eyes clean of exudate. I tried tear removers, I tried soaking the area with a wet cloth, I tried wet cotton balls, you name it, I tried it and nothing would work to remove the stains or exudate. These little suckers though.....these things work!! At first they were difficult to use because as a puppy, Jane wasn't used to having me "pick" around her eyes with combs. Once she became comfortable though (and it took a couple weeks of daily practice) and once I became comfortable and confident I wasn't going to poke her eyes out, cleaning her eyes became easy! She no longer has copious amounts of sticky exudate stuck on her face, there is no smelly eyes and I am happy to report that her tear stains are all gone since i'm able to keep her eyes so clean now. I use these a couple times a week on her and now she just sits while I clean around her eyes. She is comfortable and these have never caused her any pain or discomfort. Great tool and must have for anyone with fur babies <3

I have a Shih-Tzu and her eyes can just be a mess. She has allergies. I have been washing her face every few days as her eyes get "glued" together. I try to clean them with saline solution daily but since her eyes are sunken in and large it is not effective. They get crusty before I can get them clean and the crustys are not easy to get off. The saline does not soften them right away and then if you do not get back to it in time, they dry back up and are still crusty. I spend a good 30 minutes. It is excruciating for my fur baby to sit there that long and let me mess with her eyes. I just received this comb and tried it and I was amazed. I have been asking vets, etc. how to effectively clean her eyes without hurting her and they just say to clean them daily. This little tool may just be the unicorn of dog tools! It pulled out the crustys without any effort and she tolerated it. I feel like its safe as the comb is long and covers the entire eye so there is nothing sharp to damage the eye. I recommend this tool if you are having the same issue.

I used the larger comb on a stray cat that has been visiting our house. The feral who we have named Schnitzel, was treated with flea prevention as well as some dewormer laced wet food. The first time he let me comb him, I was able to pull off quite a few fleas. A few days later I used it again to see if his topical worked. I am pleased to say all the comb got the second time around was dirt. No fleas. He loves the comb. Hopefully we can eventually get Schnitzel off the streets, but for now, he can be a shy freeloader. 10/10 would buy this again.

I have a 16 pound Pomeranian/Papillon mix, and she gets tear stains nonstop. I tried all kinds of wipes, oils and washes, but they would barely get anything out. Sometimes the tear stains get crusty and I can't get them out at all. THESE ACTUALLY HELPED A LOT. The little teeth on them are just the right size for brushing through the crusty areas around her eyes, and then I just wipe the loose remains off easily. And, my dog cooperates; she even likes it, I think. I would definitely recommend this product to small dog owners with similar issues. Because I searched Petco and Petsmart for something like this, but they don't even have anything. They only carry flea combs, which have wider teeth, so they wouldn't work for this purpose. The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5, is because of the width of these brushes. I feel like they would be even better if they were not as wide, so that I can get even closer to my dogs eyes. But that's not too big of an issue. I still recommend them.

Great! Do the job well!! Helps make it a lot easier to get eye gunk out of our cavapoos fur. We use eye wipes after her bath and then use this comb and it works really well.

This inexpensive product works really well. One of my dogs has a lot of eye debris build up and this simple tool removes it safely and effectively. It is the perfect size and is easy to use and clean.

This does what it is designed for, but my pup is a little skiddish and I can’t be as precise as I’d like to be. I’d prefer if it were half as wide so I can have that precision. My pup is smaller, so maybe a large dog owner would be happy with this size.

Great price and good quality. First package was empty but they replaced in the same week. I really needed these for my older Pomeranian and it worked like a charm. I have angel eye wipes but this gets the impacted tiny face hairs out and got a large chunk off that no other comb I had could get out right. Very happy now. Side note my dogs are groomed every four weeks and have been for years so I have been trying to get something to get these crusty things and this is great for it.

I have a 5 month Shih tzu and this works very well. Holding the puppy still is a whole other issue though!
