Good for the price
Wooden handles might loosen and keeping the wood clean is of concern, but otherwise a good item for the price.

Great present
Bought this as a present for my partner when we first got the pizza oven - it is really satisfying to use! Cuts cleanly, you're not trying to do it multiple times or end up with messy tears.

Good pizza cutter
Used it for the first time and cuts pizzas well much prefer this to a pizza cutting wheel as you don’t have to repeat the cut as you sometimes do with a wheel

This cutter is not sharp at all!
This cutter is so blunt I can actually run it across my hand with zero fear of cutting myself. I don't get it. Is this normal now that knives are blunt and need to be sharpened when you buy them?Until I can find someone who can sharpen this thing its absolutely useless. So disappointed😞Update: I was contacted immediately after leaving the original review. They apologised and said they would send me a new one that was sharp. That was about 2 years ago. Im still waiting for the knife😂 Ive messaged them to ask what was happening, and do they still plan on sending me my knife but I never heard from them again. If you do order this knife and your not happy with it, my advice would be to ignore any offers of replacement and just get your money back👍

Blunt.
Nice size and nice weight to it. The only downside was that it was blunt to hell. Had to pay someone to sharpen it fir me. But once that was done it was fantastic.

Nice Mezzaluna Style Cutter. [14"]
I had a little chuckle to myself when I opened the package containing this, in appearance it looks like a small Bat'leth; the Klingon bladed weapon from Star Trek.[NB, this is sharp & classed as a knife, so someone over the age of 18 will have to be there to prove their age when it is delivered.]In design its a long curved metal [430 stainless steel] blade. 13.8"/35 cm long & 3.9"/9.9 cm deep. There are two elongated cutouts near the top that are topper with wooden handles that are held in place by three rivets each. The handles are brilliantly finished so if you were to be using this for extended periods you may wish to give it a little going over with sandpaper. 430 stainless steel is an okay steel for making a blade from, there is less chromium in it so its fairly easy to sharpen, this does however mean that its more susceptible to oxidation. This coupled with the wooden handles would mean to me that it isn't suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher, despite it stating that it can be. But then I'd never put any knife in a dishwasher as it never does a blade edge any good. A quick wash in warm soapy water, a wipe down with a cloth & then dry would be my preferred method of after care. The cutter comes with a full length plastic edge cover. This helps protect the edge & your fingers should you store it in a drawer. I have mine hanging from hooks on the wall beside my knife racks. [NB, its too big & heavy for most magnetic knife racks.]In use its pretty effective, I prefer this style of pizza cutter to a pizza wheel. Pizza wheels often get gunked up & they have a habit of dragging through any toppings. This long blade cuts down from above, leaving the toppings, sauce & cheese undisturbed. Its a lot quicker too; which is why many pizzerias will use something similar. It doesn't have to be reserved for pizza though, after a quick sharpen [sorry I just like things to be properly sharp], it'll cut its way through flatbreads, cake & can be used mezzaluna style to mince meat, vegetables & herbs. At £13.99 I think its a fairly good price for what it is, yes some of the metal edges & the wooden handles could have smoother more rounded edges, but this would cost more to produce. It does its main job very well, creating very cleanly cut & accurate pizza slices. It does other jobs that I've mentioned pretty well too so for the price I think its a good buy.
