I’ve ordered this product twice. It is hands down my favorite! Both times the packaging has been terrific. I’d say I’m fairly knowledgeable and experienced tanner lol. I worked in tanning salons through high school, so I’ve worked with many products. There are qualities I look for in a lotion and this meets them all. This specific tanning lotion has silicon in it, if your not aware what silicone does for your skin it not only smooths your skin but gives it conditioning properties. So through use with this product and my normal lotioning i always notice a better feel in my skin. Next this lotion has some bronzing properties in it. More often then not with tanning lotions you have to be careful with this one because the bronzing will overrid your tan in a few uses, and you end up looking more orange. Plus, with only 5 min to undress and apply lotion I know my application isn’t always well applied so strikes are a possibility.. Not with this product! Black label has the perfect amount of bronze that makes you feel glowy along the process. No stained hands after application, no streaks, just the perfect glow. Lastly this product smells great, now, no matter if you use lotion or no lotion, your body will have a different odor to it after tanning, I prefer the smell of tanned lotion then tanned skin with no lotion. So be aware no matter the product the smell after the tanning bed is never going to be as great as the smell going in! So five stars is a given for black label.

I use to tan all the time a couple of years ago and started up again in November, 2012. Of course, I got sucked into buying a $75.00 bottle of lotion at the salon when I signed up with their "discount." The product I bought was Jwoww Black Bronzer. I loved the smell and it seemed to work fine. For some reason, I did not even think to look on Amazon for lotions. And I was beyond perturbed when I saw the same JWoww lotion on here for $20.00 and sometimes less. So, I swore I would never buy from the salon again. As I went in during the past couple months I would write down what they considered their "high end" $100.00 lotions and started looking around on here. I found most of them on here from the $15.00 - $30.00 range (again, a bit upset with myself for falling for the salon girls). I figured, since they are so "cheap" compared to the salon online, I can afford to actually try different ones. After reading, this one seemed to be one of the higher rated, and most bought. The ones for $100.00 at the salon actually did not have stunning reviews. I ordered this late morning Tuesday (2/5/13) - and received it very quickly (today, Friday 2/8/13, in the morning). I was so curious so I hopped in the truck and went tanning. It was very smooth to put on and I do not use nearly as much as I had to with the JWoww because it is not so thick - I think it is the silicone that makes it easier to apply. So right off the bat, I knew that I would not fly through this product as it seemed with the JWoww. When I got out of the tanning bed, I looked in the mirror and realized I was brown (I already had a very nice tan that I have been working on in the beds for the past few months). But I realized at that moment I was actually orangish from the JWoww - - I was impressed by this color. And as far as the smell, I know everyone's body chemistry is different, but all I smell is Vanilla after tanning. It smells so good still and it has been a few hours. I guess I will know for sure if it happens to be bad after a few more sessions, but I can already tell that it is great. They wanted $68.00 for this lotion at my salon, I got it for $14.95 with free Prime shipping on here. You cannot beat it and it is the same stuff at the salon. Hope this helps! I recommend highly.

I went with this level instead of the x100 based on reviews. I do wish that I had gone with the x100 because of how I am able to tan but this lotion is still a really good choice. Starting off, the scent is amazing. By far one of my favorites I have ever had for a tanning lotion. I do agree with other reviews that it's giving sugar cookie scent vibes, even after tanning. This is way better than smelling like burnt coconut especially if you have things to do after you tan. I got this level because I was starting at ground zero. I didn't tan all winter and was pretty pale, but I do get tan really easy. This lotion absolutely helped me get color fast but it's not as dark as I know I can get after multiple sessions. I highly recommend this lotion as a starting point if you are new to tanning or if you are someone who doesn't tan fast. I did like too that it didn't stain my palms too bad. I do keep baby wipes with me to clean my hands with after I applied but even the times I forgot I noticed that my palms really weren't too bad. Even though I was hesitant getting a lotion off the internet, this one did not disappoint, totally recommend

OH WOW...Best tanning lotion by far I have ever used and through the years I used a lot...I am just so excited to tell you about this product..by the way thank you reviewers you are the best....I first of all I did not want to write a review until I had a chance to use it a few times to be exact 3... I tan outside I have very fair skin.... I did have a little bit of color before I started using this lotion but after the three times I have this most awesome dark tan... I usually just get a golden tan... but by using this lotion I have a nice dark golden tan... I don't even have a pool I used my sprinkler to cool myself down... I've never been so insistent about all of you using this tanning lotion because it works and believe me I would tell you if it didn't it also makes your skin so soft.. the smell is a sweet tropical... I don't understand why some people said it smelled because mine did not.. it smelled fresh... they must have got a bad batch or something... but anyway I'm really really recommending this product'' UPDATE: I have bought 3 bottles now I've only used one and a half I have to say I still love this stuff... one thing I want you do know is that I am fair-skinned and I have a nice tan and I have not burned at all when using this lotion.. I feel the heat from the Sun but it's got like a barrier or something... I have never had lotion that has done that... anyway I hope you have the same experience.. I highly recommend the paint it black line versus all of the other brands. Paint it black actually gives you that nice brown bronze tan. You see a big difference no streaking just an even tan. I tan both indoors and outdoors, and I love it.

I am a pretty advanced tanner, and I have been tanning for many years so I have tried LOTS of lotions. The smell isn't spectacular, but it isn't offensive like some I've tried ("What smells like burnt chicken? Oh, it's me..."). Unlike some lotions, you can continue to run errands after tanning and feel confident knowing that people are staring at you for other reasons aside from your "just tanned" odor :) The best smelling lotion I've tried is Black Diamond, but I think that only because it reminds me of the Perfume Pretty Barbie I had when I was little (don't judge me, you know you had her too!). I do indeed love the texture and consistency of the Paint It Black. Some lotions are too thick and take FOR EVER to put on. This stuff slips right on, and it doesn't take a long time for it to smooth out and soak in. A+ for that. Now, the color... I'm a tingle person, but I thought I would give this a try since everyone and their dog seems to love it. I'm not overly impressed with my results. Non-tingle people may love it, but I'm used to being lobster red when I leave the salon, stinging for hours aferward, and having to blot myself dry after I finally shower it off (you gotta give the bronzers time to work yo!) For tingle people, I had awesome ONE-USE results from Bombshell. It's marketed as if it will singe your skin off, but really, the Black Diamond was WAAAAY more painful. I'm a glutton for punishment, apparently. Anyway, I was using Black Diamond which is ok, tried the Bombshell and was fairly dark after just one use, but I'm just not seeing the hyped up results with the Paint It Black. Next time around, I'll be buying the Bombshell.

I love this tanning lotion. I have been using it for years and nothing comes close. I've tried so many other products and yet I always come back to my tried and true, Paint It Black! The 13.5 ounce bottle lasts me 6 months of twice weekly tans and I think this smells great too. I get a beautiful even tan when I use this. I've never been able to get super dark when tanning but this product gets me darker than anything else. I use this if I going to lay outside and also at the tanning salon. When I go to the tanning salon they always have to check that you have lotion (and eye protection) and every worker there raves about how much they love this lotion. The long time employee there couldn't believe how quickly I caught up on my color after a long hiatus from tanning. I love how soft my skin is after I use this and it really helps a lot with that icky tanning smell. The ladies at the salon also verified that this was safe for the acrylic beds. This does give you a bit of a color boost so be careful on your knees and elbows! I highly recommend this product, my mom even uses it too!

Ok I wanted to purchase an inexpensive yet closest to high end quality tanning lotion. The tanning lotions (even with member discount)at my tanning salon are outragiously priced!!! So, I did my research and came across the Millenium Paint it Black as a highly rated tanning lotion. I came to Amazon, looked it up, and started reading the reviews. Most of the reviews were good. I was however still skeptical!!! Well let me tell you, I recieved it yesterday and I went tanning today, and OOOOOOWEEEEEE it is great!!! Believe ALL of the good reviews, cause they're 100% true LOL. I'm biracial, but I'm very fair, so I can tan really well, but if I don't have a good lotion, my legs, WILL NOT tan.I had been tanning with for 2 months and my legs were still pale as ever. Well on my way out of the tanning salon, one of the girls that work there said, "man you're really tan, you look great", I was delighted! Well I'm not done, when I got home my hubby said, "babe you look so tan and nice", (he likes me tan LOL) Anyhoo, I'm still not done. I picked my 16 year old daughter up from school, and she said, "Ooh mom you look really tan, I love it", and we all know 16 year olds rarely notice anything except their next text lol. Needless to say I love this tanning lotion! AND it smells great, before and after tanning. Oh and guess what...my legs are finally golden tan...NOT orange, no streaking at all...enjoy!!!

It really is good stuff - my deepest, darkest sun bed tan yet. Will get this again next time.
