Great Value Robot Vacuum with Just a Few Minor Quirks
The Greenworks GRV-1010 Robotic Vacuum has been a fantastic addition to my home. It’s powerful, surprisingly quiet (most of the time), and handles pet hair and dust on both hard floors and carpets with ease. The 2200Pa suction really does the job, and the fact that it self-charges and connects to Wi-Fi makes it super convenient. Integration with Alexa is a bonus—it’s nice to just tell it to start cleaning. The only downsides I’ve noticed are that it occasionally gets tangled with wires if I forget to clear the floor, and it can make some noise if it runs over larger plastic pieces. But honestly, those are easy to work around. For the price, this vacuum is absolutely worth it.If you’re looking for a solid, budget-friendly robot vacuum that performs like a more expensive model, this one’s a great pick.

Purchased one in 2023 and again in 2025
Works as expected for much less than the big names. I bought one for upstairs and had a different brand downstairs. I called the downstairs one 'the dumbest smart vacuum ever' and finally replaced it with this one after seeing the difference for a couple years. Both of these are still going strong and are definitely 'smarter' than others. Would recommend!

Buy if you like problems
DO NOT BUYLikes:- the scheduling function on the app. You can adjust the days and times in which you’d like the robot to start clean up. The app sends a notification when the robot starts cleaning.- the suction and bin. It picks up fine dust and dog hair. It was purchased with the intention to help with the dog hair from a small dog that sheds frequently. After one day (two cleaning sessions), the bin was about 1/3 full. You will be surprised at how much dust is on the floor even though we sweep daily.- additional parts. It came with two brushes and a filter on the vacuum and another set in the box. At least I don’t have to buy replacements in a hurry. Also the app gives you the average lifespan of the parts in hours and as a percentage.- setting up was easy except for linking the app. Once I figured out the wifi part, everything else was straightforward.- noise level is acceptable. It’s a talker which volume can be adjusted in the app. There’s is the option to leave it quiet. It tells you when it’s returning to dock, battery low, stuck etc.- adjustable profile settings. You can even name it. We named it Rosie after the cleaning robot on The Jetsons and included a matching photo.-cleaning map. There is map showing where the robot has passed.Dislikes:- settling up the app required me to separate my wifi frequency. It took me a day to figure it out. I have a camera which works on 2.4GHz only and it connected fine with the wifi network. This gave me the impression that the tech might be a little outdated.Recommendations:- clear the room as much as possible. It gets tangled in cords, small mats and wires that are on the ground.- take it close to the dock when sending it back to the dock/ home. It gets lost and can’t find it way back or takes five minutes or more to find home.Overall, I like it. It’s my first cleaning robot and sometimes I get a little frustrated but it has helped me keep the place clean and tidy. For under $70, I’d say give it try.Update- 25-10-23. Rosie starts up on her own while everyone is asleep during the night. First time I happened was about two weeks ago. The noise woke me up. The second time it happened was tonight. It is not scheduled to operate later than 8pm.Second update: note that you will lose warranty of the device is not in North America which is what happened to me. So if you’re located anywhere else but North America, don’t buy this robot. I was advised to reset the device to help with the “random late night wake up and clean without being manually activated” sessions. Downgrading my review to two stars.Update: the robot refuses to connect the app now. There was an internet issue for a few hours. When it was resolved I tried to reconnect the robot and it will not connect. I’ve tried clearing the cache, manual and auto pairing, delete device. Nothing is working. I have a useless robot now. Not even six months old and it’s junk now. DO NOT BUY. TRY ANOTHER BRANDJuly 18, 2024The robot has a right wheel error and spinning in reverse. It’s not operating as it should and all troubleshooting has left it useless. Resetting plus checking the wheel for tangles gave negative results. Another reason to not buy this robot. DO NOT BUY, seek another brand

Almost Great
Didn't have much trouble setting it up and connecting to my phone and Alexa. Started it up and it started mapping the house. Did a pretty good job. I was impressed, but then this is my first robot vacuum. It vacuumed the living room, kitchen and dinning room and returned to its dock. a couple days later I started it up and about half way through the little side brush that spins around got stuck inside the vacuum which produced an error. I had to flip the vacuum and get the brush un-stuck. After doing so I placed the vacuum back where it had stopped (as close as I could remember). Apparently the vacuum didn't know where it was and started remapping the room. This caused all maps to be deleted. There is a save option for the maps and I had saved the first mapping however there isn't any restore option. So what good is the save option? Apart from that mishap the vacuum works great. I was very skeptical about this little robot cleaning as good as our upright vacuum but it does a really good job on the wood floors and carpets.

Loved but has issues
I really really loved this vacuum at first. it was my first robot vacuum and it did a stellar job I have 3 cats and I foster cats so needless to say there is a lot of cat hair and it did so good at cleaning it all up even had no issues picking up kitty litter that found its way to my carpet. It makes such nice lines in the carpet every time someone came over they would always compliment how clean and nice the carpet looked. The dust bin is actually a good size bigger than I expected. Set up was a breeze and connecting to the app was easy I didn’t even need to read the instructions it was so simple. Now for the cons the app doesn’t send a notification if the vacuum gets stuck so unless you check the app or go check on the vacuum you wouldn’t know. Mine would get stuck on such dumb things I didn’t understand why it wouldn’t just back up and keep going. It had a hard time finding its dock most of the time I had to help it back even being right in front of it, it struggled. The biggest con which actually caused me to return my vacuum was it would “disconnect” randomly for seemingly no reason it would be charged no environmental changes I tried to fix it many times but it would disconnect still and when disconnected it no longer vacuums. If it wasn’t for the constant disconnecting I would have kept it but I will say I’ve since got a mapping vacuum and the difference between the 2 are night and day my new mapping vacuum is significantly smarter. This one does the job but struggles.
