I can’t be sure because I haven’t used the skimmer like that. It touts “ EMBRACES THE HEAT: Pasta fork, skimmer and ladle are all heat safe to 450 degrees F for cooking and serving versatility” so probably? I must say I left my spatula on the edge of my pan and it melted a divot in it so not sure if handles and heads are made from the same stuff. I would think I’d take a chance, most deep frying oil like for French fries is 325 degrees. Hope I helped you think through it.
