Great Product, Great Customer Service!!!
What a great company! Great product too! We had no problem teaching our puppy/dog to use this, we just kept pushing it for her with his nose before every time we took him out, and now she uses it all the time! Sometimes just to get our attention to play! :) She even was trying to use it when all of a sudden almost a year after we bought the double pack, it stopped working. She kept hitting it, but no sound. I tried the other transmitter which didn't work, so I wrote to the seller and IMMEDIATELY got a really nice email from Keith. He helped me troubleshoot, (I replaced batteries in the transmitters, but not the reciever, DUH!:) So after replacing the battery in the receiver, the one transmitter worked, but the other still did not, It was the one we had never used yet. After emailing back and forth the Keith and telling him we tried everyting, he immmediately agreed to send me a replacement for the nonworking transmitter. Got it and it works no problem! Quality product and customer service that stands behind their product. Refreshing in today's world. I would buy again and recommend to a friend!! Thank you Keith!! Merry Christmas! ;)

Ring a Ding !
This item, the doggie doorbell has worked great for the last year but recently the outside bell has stopped working We love it as does our Border Collie if indeed she does use it just to have us look at her chase the elk away. Trying to get another just for outside but have had no luck.

Not for old, dumb dogs apparently (or for old, dumb masters perhaps)
We hoped to get our dog to use these. The product is as described and functions as intended. Quality of construction is acceptable. Unfortunately, our old dog was untrainable. I have a new appreciation for old saying: You can't teach an old dog new tricks. Not the devices fault, but if your dog is old, this might not work for you.

This is a great system for dogs
This is a great system for dogs. My dog (4 1/2 months old) learned it in less than a day. They let you know when they want to go out, but the best part is that they can let you know when they want to come in. I see dogs all the time standing at a back door and waiting for someone to see them, or barking at the door for 15 minutes waiting for someone to respond. This is so much better. We put the bell speaker unit in the center of the house and can hear it easily throughout the house - even on other floors. The bell switch part is very easily removed if you want some quiet. That is the only drawback - they may ring the bell sometimes to get your attention. They know you will show up next to the door. Also, when my dog is outside and wants me to come out and play, she'll ring the bell and back away from the door to let me know she wants me outside too. I also remove the bell switch if it's late at night or if she's not allowed outside for any reason. Overall I strongly recommend this.

Has been long lasting and reliable for us
We purchased the Pebble Smart Doggie Doorbell kit in 2015 that came one receiver and two transmitters. The transmitters are used for inside and outside of same door so dogs can alert us when they want to go outside and then come back inside. This setup has survived two large lab/Retriever mixed dogs and worked until now Jan 2023 one of the transmitters (outside) no longer works. The Transmitters take 2 AA batteries which isnt a problem because AA are readily available. The receiver takes an odd 12v battery which are available but not common so I order a pack of them, but these batteries last us several months at a time. I probably only have to change the batteries 1-2 times annually.. I'll purchase another kit to get back to 2 transmitters and consider these lasting at least 8 years to be worth their cost. Rating an overall 4 simply because the transmitter that died looks fine inside and outside so there is no visual sign of corrosion or other reason for suddenly stop working but otherwise was a good solution for us. There is another solution by another company which the transmitters dont use batteries and seem to be powered by the button press mechanics but there are too many reports of that not working and having to replace the entire transmitter, so I'm happy replacing only a battery vs an entire device.

Easy to set up, easy to use, easy for your dog to train you - er, to train your dog
I installed the inside doorbell and my 8 month old pup had it figured out within about 5 minutes. After an hour of ringing (and being escorted outside) she made the connection and now only rings when she wants to go outside. While she was out the next day I installed the exterior bell and thought I'd have to show it to her but nope! She knew exactly what to do thanks to the treat holder. The only *bad* thing is that the neighbor dog who shares our fenced yard also figured it out :-) When he wants his playmate to join him he rings the bell. At 6 am. On a Saturday. Other than that, it's fantastic!

Dead batteries on both transmitters
My doorbell arrived and once I set it up I realized the batteries on both transmitters were dead.

Good concept, poor performance
This is a well conceived idea and the methodology is sound, but the product is not very good. We hooked the system up to our back door and trained our puppy to "ring the bell" whenever he needs to go outside. He picked this up pretty quick...pushing the yellow paddle that is....however, 75% of the time, NOTHING happens; there is no alarm and except that we are watching our puppy closely, we would miss the notice, as nothing happens. The puppy knows that if he pushes the paddle, the chime goes off, he gets a reward, AND he is taken outside to relieve himself. So he pushes the paddle, paws at the paddle, multiple times trying to get it to chime, and NOTHING. I have pulled the device apart and even trying to directly engage the switch without the paddle mechanism in place, the chime hardly ever goes off.

Great product, outstanding customer relations and support.
This works very well, as well as described or better. I also bought the single transmitter version for travelling, and my review is the same. It was delivered promptly and the instructions were clear... although obviously it's not rocket science to put this on a door and press the button. The website to support the product is great, and the doorbell's designer is obviously constantly trying to improve the customer experience by offering solutions for common (and uncommon) requests. When I asked about an idea I had to for a solution to using portably for hotels, cottage, etc, he took the time to email me back and say my idea was fine, and also provided other solutions that he had heard from other users. At least one idea was way better than mine, and I ended up using it instead. Basically a perfect customer service experience and, as a Gen Xer, I do vaguely remember what good customer service was like. Just as an aside, it only took my dog one day to figure out how to use it. And he isn't bright... he *barely* graduated from University of Phoenix.

Amazing
I’ve had this dog doorbell for 5 years it’s amazing. We changed the battery maybe two or three times. It lasts through -40C weather. Highly recommend no concerns at all, it was easy to train our dog to use as well, she uses it all the time and saved our door from being scratched from her wanting in or out. We Love it!

Dog doesn't use it
While this is one of the better ones I've seen on the market, the dog doesn't us it. We've trained and trained. My return time with Amazon has passed. An expensive option to keep and not use. Good luck!

The only thing I really hated was the choice of alert options
Update September 2016I started having problems with the unit, specifically intermittent operation -- the button stopped working reliably and I thought it might have been a problem with the case, because using the unit outside of the case worked perfectly.I contacted the seller and they replied within a few hours. Their advice was to change the batteries. I was dubious that this would work because it appears to only screw up when in the case, so I was thinking mechanical button problem. This is why I'm not a doorbell manufacturer .. I know nothing about them. I changed all of the batteries to be safe (though I suspect it was mostly the 2 AA cells in the reciever that were weak) and BINGO! all is well and working again. So, if things start to act strangely -- try changing batteries first!Great customer service, timely and accurate!Original Review:Works well, exactly as designed/stated. The only thing I really hated was the choice of alert options. I eventually used the standard "ding-dong" sound though it confused my dog at first (he thought someone was at the front door whenever he rang this doorbell at the backdoor as the sounds are very similar)). All of other tunes were, IMHO, next to useless...they were all a combo of any/all of the following: too long, just tacky and low quality, annoying, etc.etc. I think the company should have their manufacturer add a few other door-bell like sound options, rather than 20-odd down-market carnival-like tunes. Who wants to hear 1980 video-game style music every time someone rings their door?Again, product itself is great, but the sound options were horrendous and should not be considered a selling point in my eyes.
