) that cannot easily be rooted
The phone itself is "fine" and it's new, off the shelf so to speak. Mine came with a microSIM, ready to set up and connect. But BE WARNED... (1) it is NOT "Unlocked" (it's a Verizon prepay phone) and... (2) it is not a RAZR M as it is claimed to be. It's a Luge. Why does that matter? First, although it's the same basic phone as the RAZR M (both are XT907), you can be guaranteed that the (newer) Luge will arrive with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, on a later system/kernel version (August 2014 or later?) that cannot easily be rooted. (There is a method, but it's still brand new.) The thing is, I did not want another KitKat phone. I was really hoping to get an older version that I could possibly upgrade (if necessary) to Android 4.3, for the "APP OPPS" feature which allows granular control of apps permissions. The RAZR M (not this one) may contain anything from 4.1.x up to KitKat, with most likely an older system that can be rooted and unlocked. But as I said, the Luge is a 3Q-2014 phone that WILL ship with KitKat 4.4.x. As for the phone itself, I could give it 5 stars. But because of misrepresentation (false advertising) which I would rate a 1 (or 0), I'm only giving this product a 3... thinking maybe I should drop it to 2 on general principles. I could send it back... but man I really hate the trouble and delay of doing that, and even then will I get a RAZR M or another Luge?? ..... Undecided as yet.....

Nice Phone, but........
First Off, full disclosure - I bought this to replace a 6 month old Droid Mini (which I dropped and cracked the screen), which is a much faster phone. When I bought it, the headline advertised it as "new"....it is definitely not. Battery life is consistent with a 2 year old phone, not a new one, I have tried turning off every battery drain on the device (location, background data, screen brightness, etc. )and I can't make it 8 hours without needing to charge it. The other big thing is the USB charge/data port only works as a charge port. I cannot connect it to computer to transfer files to it, far from perfect but not a huge deal breaker for me.But I do like the phone itself. It is not as fast or responsive as my Droid Mini, but it does not have the processor speed or RAM of a Mini. It will run 95% of the apps that the Mini would, with the exceptions being apps that require the gyro feature, But it beat buying a new Mini for $450.Just be warned that this is NOT a new phone.

I got the phone and its said that it was ...
I got the phone and its said that it was unlocked but when I put the sim card in from another carrier it said to put in a sim card and the sims card are in. So I thought maybe I have a defected sim car so I had the carrier to send me another sim card. They sent me another card and when I received the card and put it in it said the same thing so I came to the conclusion that the phone must not be unlocked when I was told that it was unlocked. I can't returned the phone because of the returned date. So for those who order this phone check to make sure its works with another carrier before your return date go out because you will be stuck with a phone that you can't use.

Great Phone
I read that these Verizon Global Ready worked on Straight Talk GSM AT&T sims. It takes Radiocomm hack to stop blocking US GSM radio signal. It was real easy and I don't confess to have a lot of talent at tech. I purchased a AT&T 4G LTE sims changed APN to the Straight Talk settings. It works prefect. You won't get LTE speeds with this set-up, just H+. To show the difference, my Straight Talk Verizon 3G fastest speed test was .7 mbps. This Razr M fastest is 7.5 mbps. I read some people say you can get 4G LTE. I have not. The wifi speed is FAST! I'm really happy with this and hope that I can update to Kit Kat. If you want a great phone for a pre-paid GSM network, I know this will work!

... the operating system (Android KitKat) but the battery life sucks. Some days I can go all day without ...
Not sure how much of this is the phone versus the operating system (Android KitKat) but the battery life sucks. Some days I can go all day without heavily using the phone and it lasts all day. Others, with the same useage rate, won't even get me 4 hours on a charge. Those days that really suck, the phone gets extremely hot (battery temp ~42° C). I've tried numerous battery management apps and none clue me into what is running in the background. They all just say it is the screen, but the screen is off. The other issue I have is it will not send text messages occasionally when the wireless is turned on and takes forever to get picture messages in general.Other than the operating issues, it seems good. I bought it becuase it was cheaper than replacing the micro usb charging port that broke on my old phone. The phone maintains good signal strength indoors and other difficult to get signal locations. As always, signal strength is carrier dependent.

A Razr M XT907 as advertized is not what I received
Well... I ordered this Droid Razr M XT907 for my son for Christmas specifically because his sister has one and they now work on Straight Talk. However, what was received was the Motorola Luge. As far as I can tell, it is the exact same phone, just with a newer version of Android. I compaired the specs of the Razr M and the Luge and all the hardware is exactly the same. I just think that buyers should be aware that they may not be getting the Razr M as the name of this listing implies. I think the seller needs to correct the listing so customers know what they are getting.

Razar M would be 5 star
I for some reason received a prepaid Motorola Luge witch I have never herd of. Its basically the Razar M without option to put it on your plan because its prepaid. I have the droid razar M and it will take one heak of a beating and it is fast and I never had pro. With mine freezing so its an excellent phone that should last a couple of years without a problem

Nice phone that has still got it.
Yes this is a dual core( snapdragon s4 processor) phone and yes it only has a qhd display and still that display is a small 4.3 inches but still even in 2014 its a solid little phone, the edge to edge display is really very nice and it feels so good in the hand, tight lines, Kevlar backing and a very capable 8mp shooter. I love it and in may ways its in my top 3 phones of all time. As of now it will play any game out at close to 60 fps if not always 60 fps, in day to day tasks it performs as good as a quad core. Take it from me this phone will get you there and back again not only on looks but style as well.
