Just another review for a knife that is anything besides just another knife. The Kukri is very impressive. The quality and craftsmanship are on point. If you’re looking for something you can take outdoors and find very useful, and know that you will bring it back in good shape, buy this now. Hand forged with 5160 with traditional methods and materials. It feels great in my hand. Well balanced and sharp enough to ruin your day if you lose respect for the steel. You can buy this knife in your 20’s and expect it to function perfectly for your grandchildren. It is heat treated so you will need to take proper care of it. It isn’t difficult and easily found on YouTube. Just be aware that this isn’t some stamped stainless job from the local sporting goods store. I’m confident that you will not have buyers remorse. If you care to learn about the history of the knives I’m sure that you will easily find videos with some very interesting historical facts. If you are looking for home defense. This will not disappoint. This is a deep damage chopper. The pommel end can be used to inflict massive blunt force trauma. If you want something for home invasion scenarios, this will do nicely. You can use this for woodcraft, bushcraft, agricultural needs and yard work. No fancy gimmicks, just one very good knife. It has all of the traditional kit. Sheath, small knife and honing blade. I do not know the proper names. The notch at the bottom is the smith’s signature. What I found stated that each family or “house” has their own mark pattern. There are many popular theories that you may prefer as an explanation but I am satisfied with this one. The Kukri is hefty as is proper. This is supposed to have more weight than your hunting knife however the balance more than makes up any awkward feel. It is comfortable to use and you will find that the value in the short term is good. The longer that you own this knife, you will find it to be an excellent value for the money.

First, this is not a "perfect knife", it's handmade and that shows in various little ways. What one would want to use a perfect knife for is a different question. This blade is incredibly, confidence inspiringly solid. It came reasonably sharp, and took a razor edge quite readily, which it holds well after a couple hours of hard use (chopping wood mostly). The sheath is great -- there is a proper way to reinsert the blade, go slow till you have that sorted. The two small knives (karda & chakmak) are fine, the karda sharpens up nicely; I while don't feel the chakmak is an especially useful sharpening tool it does do something, and it's traditional. This is a great value, I would 100% purchase again.

Traditional (though full tang), handmade, solid,,, mine came wood chopping sharp but not paper cutting sharp. Handling is not bad, though for martial applications i will get a lighter, thinner kukri, something with a fuller (chirra) or hollow ground blade.

Kukri sent was born torqued with an edge that doesn't even remotely line up with the spine of the blade. What baffles me is that someone seeing it crooked still went on to finish it and fit it with a handle and sheath, only greed can explain that! Deal elsewhere!

I own many blades, some of excellent quality and others that are just toys to me, so I know the difference between a well crafted serious knife and a toy or show piece. This kukri is a serious knife. It’s clearly put together by someone who knows their craft and does it by hand, as its imperfections are cosmetic. The maker’s mark lettering on the blade is done by hand and the finish of the grip is clearly hand work assisted by machine tools. The quality of the build is nonetheless top notch. Someone made this blade and cared about quality. It makes me care about it beyond the money I spent to get it. There’s a human element to this kukri. The sheath is well made and of heavy leather in a traditional style, and if improperly drawn I can see how the edge could cut it. You have to take care and it takes a little skill to learn how to work it properly. My sole complaint is that the karda has no edge. It’s completely blunt, where the chakmak is just squared off completely. The karda has no utility and could not cut anything. It might make an acceptable letter opener, but that’s all. I would have to use a grinder to put my own edge on the karda. This complaint is small since I didn’t buy this for the karda or chakmak, but they are part of the complete set so I may make a project of putting my own edge on the karda just to make it whole.

I’m in Texas where we do a lot of shooting guns and building knives and I’ve been collecting these kind of things I was a little boy I’m 39 years old right as of today and I will be 40 in October. And this is the most beautiful Knife I have ever had that I have ever ordered! The craftsmanship is a 20 out of 20 this is the best amazing purchase for a Knife as a collectible, gift, whatever, if you know someone who loves knows by them this Knife they will love you for the rest of your life I promise thank you so much. Awesome Knife. Wanted a Kukri even more after seeing Ser Bronn using one in GoT. Comfy handle, great weight and a razor sharp edge. Only thing I wish for is more options for the sheath, like left-handed.

The knife is simply beautiful in design... Everything was perfect I made a little modifications to make it my own but it's definitely going to be my personal. I will be ordering two more shortly

My father and I got this for my brother for his birthday. We were expecting this to arrive a bit later like mid to late November but instead this arrived super fast and is actually much bigger than we thought. The teen will love this (my dad is quite impressed by it and may want to get one for himself)
