WAY SMALLER IN PERSON! Only worth half of what they are charging
Buyer beware!!!Very deceiving photos!! I paid $1400 for $200 in materials which came ALOT smaller than it looked in photos, also came trashed and broken. Very upset at how expensive it was for the quality and the size. I’ve since gone somewhere and seen some in person that where a couple hundred more that are 3 times the size. All the ones I’ve seen similar in quality and size are around $500-$600. I have a bad back and cannot bend over very well so I thought buying the XL coop and run would allow me to clean it without having to bend down.(I’m 5’6) Boy was I wrong! Don’t assume because of the price that you will get a large walk in run.... double check measurements to avoid the same mistake I made. Not worth the money... really embarrassed for paying what I paid and sooooo glad I didn’t tell my husband how much it cost. Guys told me I can get a custom one built way bigger and nicer for that price....Gonna have to ride this one out for awhile unfortunately and call them back to build me one when it completely falls apart. Also the installers charged me more after looking at the listing because they were expecting it to be a lot larger as well. Luckily after seeing assembled they went back down on the install price. Very upsetting on my happy chicken time.

Fragile wood, leaky roof, needs repairs and reinforcing.
Wood came splintered and was very fragile. With the cost, it should have been made more sturdy. Had to reinforce the whole thing. Coop also leaks when it rains. The poor chickens where soaked. Had leaked everywhere there was a knot in the wood. Also the run was no where near as tall as it looks. It makes a ok starter coop and run, if you have extra $ to put into it, to sturdy it up and fix the problems.

Well built
Easy to put together, lightweight but still sturdy and secure. Great looking.

NOPE! Leaks when it rains & poo tray rusted several holes in it
UPDATE 12/22: This Company now has a warning on their website that says that sellers on Amazon are selling ”knockoffs” of their product. I just want to say that I came to Amazon to leave my review because I sent my review to the company and they did not publish it. I bought my chicken coop from their OFFICIAL website and this review is based on a purchase from the OFFICIAL website of the Chicken Coop Company.I did not buy this product off of Amazon. But they are so shady and the product is so worthless that I came here to leave my review so that others could avoid them. The fact that they have a warning trying to prevent people from coming to Amazon and seeing these reviews is just a testament to how shady this company is.I am still suffering trying to make this coop work. The metal tray that they sent as a replacement, the metal sheet has fallen out of the wooden frame, and I’ve had to rig it up temporarily with hardware cloth under the bottom until I can buy something better. It completely fell apart. Save your money for something better!!!ORIGINAL REVIEW:I bought this coop something like a year and a half ago. The first 6 months were okay, but this coop did not stand the test of time. The first issue was that the sliding poop tray started rusting. It rusted so bad, that 4 gaping holes opened up in the steel tray. To their credit, they shipped out a replacement at no charge after I sent a photo of the damage. Customer service was A++ but this review is for the coop itself. To hopefully prevent rust, I coated the tray with plastic adhesive sheeting this time. The second issue, which started within the first 6 months, is that the flashing over the seams of the nesting box don’t work well, if at all, to keep water out. At first, it was just a little water getting in at the corners of the nesting boxes. I thought, ‘that’s not great but it’s not a big deal.’It eventually got to the point that the wood bottoms for the nesting boxes were so wet, the wood started to get soft and bow down. Into the bottom of the coop.Again I thought, ‘at least the middle of the coop is still dry, since we have other nesting boxes in our chicken run.’ But it got worse. Now, the middle of the coop where the birds sleep is also wet after every single rain. I use pdz in the coop tray and when I go out to clean it, it’s completely soaked and cakey and wet from water getting in. That’s a problem since it’s meant to protect my birds from the elements. We had to put a blue tarp on the coop with bungee cords and it is still getting soaked through somehow with water. I don’t even know how it’s getting in at this point. On top of that, screws on the coop are popping out of the wood everywhere. This was an expensive purchase and I would not say that I am at all satisfied with the longevity of this product. It’s beautiful to be sure, it’s easy to put together. But what good is a $1000 six-month coop? Frankly, that’s ridiculous.I wouldn’t recommend this if you live anywhere where it rains a lot at any point in the year.

Cheap wood, comes broken and got no response from company to replace pieces.
Bought this direct from website and wish I had seen these reviews first. $1,500 for a broken coop. Piece came destroyed and requested replacement several weeks ago. No response from company. Will just have to figure out how to fix it myself so I can actually use the coop. Wood is very flimsy. Reminds me of balsa wood. DO NOT BUY, save your money. I could have built three with real wood for what I paid for this one. I would give negative stars if I could.

Beware!!! Coop LEAKS like a sieve!!!
I Purchased this coop and run March of 2022. Beware!!! Company photos are deceiving. The run is not a “walk in” it’s more of a “bend in”. Run door warps with the moisture. The coop is cute, and roomy for “4” larger breed chickens. The run is more for Bantams. However, the coop itself, leaks like a sieve!!! If you live in a potentially wet southern climate like I do, you are going to become so angry dealing with the leaks and moisture. I did reach out to the company and their email indicated that “Utah (where this is built) doesn’t have much rain” and their suggestion was to “seal it” myself. If you don’t have construction skills and can’t build one yourself, please save yourself the frustration and purchase a more sturdy leak proof coop “like an Amish one”. I am hating life right now after a rain storm last night, and trying to figure out how to reinforce this thing. I am so worried once winter snows arrive, that my birds may freeze to death in this thing. Save your money.
