The absolute worst tasting chip EVER
I was drawn in by a Facebook ad. All I can really say beyond what I said in the headline statement is their texture is flat out nasty. I'm 60 and I've never tasted any chip that comes even close to being as bad as this.Bottom line: My two cents is avoid like the plague.

We Like Them, Good Flavor
Crispy Salmon Skin Chips by GOODFISH - Chili Lime, 8-Pack - Wild-Caught Alaskan SalmonWe’ve tried the GOODFISH Crispy Salmon Skin Chips in a few different flavors and have liked all of them. The Chili Lime is a really good flavor that pairs well with the salmon flavor. The crispy salmon skins is something that we are kind of familiar with. We like to cook salmon on the grill. Many times we will pull the salmon meat off the skin after the fish is done. We will then let the skin sit on the aluminum foil and crisp up for us to eat. We’ve always thought that it was tasty. That is what the GOODFISH Crispy Salmon Skin Chips are. They are a little bit similar to a fish jerky in flavor but they are the skin so they are more like a fish “pork” rind but not as crunchy as a pork rind and of course, thinner.⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵

Favorite Flavor Goodfish makes so far
First off, I have had a number of GoodFish salmon skins and I have found that the quality of the chips have been hit and miss. Even within the same batch I have had some that are fishy, rubbery, unevenly seasoned. However, when the bags are good... they are really good and hit the spot for a crunchy snack. I am happy to report that this chili lime one was fantastic and I might add my favorite flavor of all the flavors I've tried thus far. Each bag in this box was spot on in flavor and texture. The chili adds just a touch of heat and the sourness of the lime comes through making these really tasty. We have now finished 5 of the 8 bags and so far the quality control on this batch has been good. The crunch is there and there wasn't even the hint of fishiness in any of the bags I've tried so far. Of all the flavors Goodfish makes, I have to say this is my favorite flavor so far.Of all the salmon skin chips I've tried, I really like this brand since it's the only brand of salmon skins that I've tried that I've seen that uses sustainable salmon and palm oil. They also appear to be a US company, though they don't expressly say this on the package or website, unlike many of the other fish skin brands out there.Review For:Crispy Salmon Skin Chips by GOODFISH - Chili Lime, 8-Pack - Wild-Caught Alaskan Salmon - Keto & Paleo Friendly, 10g of Protein, Omega-3 & Marine Collagen - Upcycled & Traceable Sustainable Seafood

Flavor pretty good but texture inconsistent; expensive
I first discovered Good Fish crispy salmon skins a while back. I liked the idea, but I didn’t like the execution or the price. For one, the flavor that I tried, sriracha lemongrass, did not taste very good to me. Both flavors were really assertive and strong, and I didn’t think they went that well together. They also came in bags that were far to big, and there just wasn’t that much in each bag. Considering how expensive they were, $25 for 8 bags of mostly air, it didn’t feel like a very good value. On top of that, they were made to look like pork skins, which I thought worked against them by causing you to compare them to pork skins and also by affecting the texture of the skins. Some were crunchy, but others were a bit more chewy.I then gave the salt and vinegar flavor a try because I thought that would be a flavor that might work better for me. Instead, I found that flavor to be far to vinegary and the flavors to just not work well. They did, however, change the bags to much smaller ones, which were a better fit for the amount of product you received.I did not think I would ever get any more of these as I was pretty disappointed with the product. However, I started crushing the skins and adding them to my salads in order to use them up. I liked how these added flavor and some texture to my salads, so I was enjoying eating them this way.I decided to give these another shot, trying the sea salt flavor as well as the chili lime flavor and a combo pack that includes both plus some BBQ and tart cranberry. I haven’t tried the BBQ or tart cranberry yet, so I don’t know how I will feel about those, but I have tried the sea salt and the chili lime. Some of the issues that I’ve experienced before are still there. These are still expensive for how much you get, and they are still inconsistent from chip to chip regarding crunch. Some of the pieces are really crunchy whereas others are chewy and almost soft. The amount of flavoring from chip to chip is also a little inconsistent, but it’s not too bad. As far as the flavors go, though, both of these are a hit for me. I’ve had products that were sea salt flavored that were way too salty, others that were woefully under-seasoned. These, I think, come off at a pretty good level. The occasional chip has a little too much or a little too little, but for the most part I like the amount of salt they have, and I don’t think the chips are too fishy. I would even be fine if they were a little more fishy. The chili lime ones were about the same. The bag I tried was more consistently crunchy than the sea salt ones were, but the flavors were well-balanced and not too strong. I would go so far as to say that I actively liked both of these flavors and would be more than happy to eat these straight without even putting them into my salad. It is interesting to me that the chili lime has more sodium per serving than the sea salt, though neither has much.If they lowered the price some and could find a way to make these consistently crisp so that they weren’t coming off seeming stale (perhaps flatten them like sheets of seaweed), I would recommend these without reservations. However, as is, I think the product is too inconsistent and too expensive.

Very slight fish smell, not objectionable
I'll compare these to pork rinds, since they are similar products made from the skin of animals/fish. The flavor I tried was the chili lime. It's moderately spicy, but not hot. I found the flavor to be a little disappointing and would give it a 3 out of 5.The texture of the chip is crunchy and it crackles when you bite into it, just like a pork rind, although they aren't quite as brittle as port rinds. I did find that the natural fish oils made the chips somewhat greasy, and you won't want to eat these at your computer. (mm, yeah, I never do that.) But, they aren't much oilier than regular potato chips. The calories are low: only 80 per bag. You're most likely to eat the entire bag than part of it, so I'm glad they had the sense to make the nutrition label show the calories/protein, etc., for the entire bag. There's a fair amount of protein, and they have a good amount of vitamin D. Although the product write-up mentions "marine collagen," the nutrition label doesn't show what it is and I was unable to find it on the manufacturer's website. These are a nice addition to my snack selection, and they provide some real nutrition. They are on the expensive side; for $25 you get eight bags, but they're small, single-serving bags, not much larger than a lunch-box-sized potato chip bag. But then, it IS salmon, and you're getting nutritional value for less calories than a typical chip.
