This "hammock" tent is amazing
This "hammock" tent is amazing. I took this on a motorcycle trip to the Adirondacks a couple of weekends ago and love it. It's small and light. Smaller than the other standard backpacking tent that I have. I packed this tent, my sleeping bag and two days clothing into a 30L dry bag. It's not terribly difficult to set up and I'm sure it will get easier to get the straps adjusted right the more that I do it. The best part is that I slept comfortably and dry above the ground in the rain. I could lay flatter than I do in a hammock, but there is still a bit of that hammock feel, maybe I could have pulled the straps tighter to get a flatter hang. I'm very satisfied and highly recommend it.

Love
No dislikes here. I suppose if I had to have one it would be the weight. I use it backpacking, I know I can find lighter tents. But I just love this tent so much. Super easy to set up when you get the hang of it. Comfy and roomy. It’s nice to be up off the ground in the backcountry so I’ll keep lugging it with me!!

Very Unique Item with Great Potential
I purchased this tent for backpacking purposes and it is indeed a little on the heavy side (roughly 7 lbs). On the other hand if you split the peace's between you and your partner (roughly 3.5 lbs) it becomes much more practical for back packing.I do recommend practicing how to set this thing up ahead of time before you use it in the field. I spent well over a few hours getting to a point where I can set this up without it touching the ground (to prevent any snagging) and getting even tension on all three sides. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS AHEAD OF TIME!Trying to get even tension on this thing with only one ratchet in a large obtuse triangle (over 20' between some trees) in my backyard is really a nightmare. This does come with three 20 foot straps and I still needed to use another strap in order to get this hung properly.Okay now that I got all the first timer issues out on the table. This is what I did in order to solve my tension issue and enable me to set this up (by myself) with out it touching the ground.....1) The longest strap between the hammock and the tree gets the ratchet. Ideally you want it at the foot end of the hammock but that would require a perfect triangle.2) On the other two corners that do not have a ratchet. I used a small combination wrench to create a make shift Cinch Buckle. By doing so, I am able to easily pull, loosen, adjust any of the three corners with out it touching the ground. This way I can line up the attached angle finder tags with the connected straps (you'll read about that part in instructions).3) Once you get your angles lined up and tie the Cow Hitch Knot on the make sift Cinch Buckle. You can bring it to full tension with the ratchet.Once it's hung right you can use the center tension strap to create a divider between you and your guest or loosen it up to be closer to your partner.Pros:- Convenient for any terrain camping.- Provided rain fly does it's job very well and does not leak even if you touch it while it's raining.- Very comfortable once set up correctly.- Good quality materials.- Good quality stich work.- Easy to get in and out of.Cons:- Difficult to get the it set up correctly.- Rainfly is a little on the small side. You can get in and out just fine but if it's staked to the ground, you rub up against it every time you get in and out of it.- No accessories for an under cover or pad that fits the shape of this thing.

Make sure it's level!!!
This is a really cool tent! My fiance and I bought it a few months back and we wanted to try it out in different settings before we reviewed. First off, set it up first thing when you arrive to the campsite. Make absolutely damn sure it is perfectly level or else you will either A) be sliding into each other and into the side of the tent B) sliding down to the feet part of the tent or C) have all your blood rush to your head. Take the time to make sure it's level. Get in and try it before it's 2am and you're tired. Also make sure you have a warm sleeping bag and something warm underneath you. We took it camping in Colorado and it got down to 30 degrees and we weren't prepared for the wind underneath us. Be prepared. Set up is incredibly easy once you get the hang of it. Even though it says not to hang higher than 4 feet, we like to hang it as high as possible. My fiance has to give me a boost to get into it. It's so much fun. Best tent we've ever bought. I highly recommend it. There's just something special about hanging out in trees. And believe it or not finding 3 trees that work for it isn't that hard!

Cool concept, but...
I slept comfortably through a rainstorm in this treetent. Unfortunately, trees in a position to accommodate this tent in a campsite are rare. The ratchet mechanism that came with my tent jammed every time and some of the stitching on the mounting points and interior pockets started fraying on the first use.

Comfy to sleep on you're side.
One of the best hammock tents I have ever owned. Very comfortable to sleep on my side. Took some time to get the set up right but very simple once you know how to really do it.

READ MY EXPERIENCE FIRST (actually is a five stars)
Let me start saying that this tent is what we dream at!!!, the quality is very good, the accesories are perfect and is just the size for two, but.....to be able to set it up correctly you need a perfect Isosceles triangle, this is the big problem. We tryied three different tree trio and, if they are far apart, you need to put it 5 ft hight, if the triangle is not perfect, you end with the tent stretched so weird that is impossible for two people. althoght, for one person I think is not that problematic the triangle of the trees. We returned it because I don't want to spent hours looking for the perfect spot and then not be able to enjoy it.

I recommend buying two additional ratchets
I recommend buying two additional ratchets, and divide weight with a hiking partner. You will not need pads anymore, and the ratchets are not that heavy. It makes set up so much easier and you wont be tying and untying over and over. The tent is pretty cool, and lots of people walking buy will ask you about it. Most places that are shown to carry them, like REI, do not in most stores. One word of caution, some state parks do not allow you to attach anything to trees. So this is more for hiking.

Hmm, questionable
I currently just bought this Tent on Jan 31 2020... it arrived within the time for delivery...BBUUTTTT now that i've opened this up and felt the quality for the laying in feels super thin... I'm questioning if it will actually hold the weight as well might now need something to put under me so mosquitoes don't get me. NOW last year I Bought the UNA but from the website its self Tentsile.com ... the quality I got from them last year has a thicker under part where you lay in... it feels almost like a rubber... NOW the FLITE feels like paper and thinner don't know why they'd change it besides to stuff more money in their pockets.. kohde time traveler is my ch on youtube where you can see the UNA this up coming summer I'll be doing a proper review of the FLITE

So much fun, I’m 6’ my girlfriend is 5’7” and we fit in there with lots of room to spare. Super comfortable and when you pull the top off and unzip the screens you are literally laying in a hammock in the middle of the forest.Placement is key.. you definitely need the extra time to find a good location.. however I own a Jeep. So I just unroll the back window a bit and hook it up to my roll cage so I only need 2 trees ;)
