I have an antique wood stove that I had bought at a yard sale. It was covered entirely in rust. I needed something that was going to stop the rust and help restore my stove to its original beauty. I've tried different types of products like this in the past on my vehicles, but they never really worked as I wanted them to. I am happy to say that this brand actually did the job for me!! I took a wire sander blade on my drill and got a lot of the "rust dust" scraped off before using this to make sure the entire surface was cleaned and able to paint. Its easy to use and apply and comes in a rather large can so you can do a few coats. I followed up with the AGS matte surface paint they offer in black. My stove looks great! I wanted to wait to put a review to see if it was just going to end up like other products i've used in the past, but this seems to be holding up wonderfully! I am happy with my purchase and would recommend this specific brand to anyone needing a fix for something rusty.

Very strong. If using on a car (like I used to prep/ paint my trailer hitch receiver recently) be sure to prep the area to keep from getting on your car’s paint. It will strip any wax or ceramic coatings off. But it works for its intended purpose!

Large spray can and a little goes a long way. I had no issues in applying my paint after using this prep degreaser and using air and clean tack rag to then apply my primer

Worked quickly and well! These pics are after leaving it on a few minutes. Will do one more round to get the leftover off. Worked surprisingly well!

This stuff works great for removing small amounts of oil and other surface contaminants while prepping a part for paint. It works so much better than other methods I've used and goes on easily and you just wipe it right off with a clean cloth. Comes in a nice big 14 oz can and it lasts a while. I looked into AGS Rust Solutions and they have a full line of paint prep and restoration products, definitely something I am going to consider getting for the restoration project I'm currently working on. Seems to be quality stuff from a family owned business based in Michigan.

This stuff will seriously mess up plastic. It is mainly acetone. Acetone can't be used on plastic. Mess my job up terribly. Then you can return the junk either. I already had acetone if I wanted to ruin my plastic with.
