will the hook damage the loop

I have shot tons of arrows with this release and my loop still looks good. Even if it damages them faster I still would buy another. Very comfy , reliable and nice to shoot with.

I jus got this release, the neck feels really stiff. do I need to remove the rubber washer,or will it loosen up in time?

If your talking about making it fold back along your wrist, just keep flipping it back and forth it gets easier. Mines was really stiff at first too. Although you don't want it to get real loose or it won't stay locked back.

Has any one had trouble with the hook returning to the stock position after shooting?

Yes, it sometimes does and sometimes doesn’t. I lubed it but still isn’t consistent. I just got used to manually returning the hook after a shot.
