OX Speedskim Semi Flexible Plastering Rule - ST 900mm & OX Pro Aluminium Hawk - 13" X 13"

I was sceptical about these having used my old Marshall trowel for 15 yearsI got one and used the wrong side, made a bad job and nearly binned it, then watched a video and realised my mistakeI put the plaster on very rough with my trowel left it 10 mins and hit it with this and it was amazing. I did a very unlevel wall in 5 mins that would have taken 20 otherwise. I then put a second coat on with my trowel and used this again then final polish with trowelI’m going to order a smaller one as well to polishSaved me about an hour on a 2 hour wall

Not used as yet but first time diy on plastering & will use when get my plastering to higher level. Rather learn do it that pay cowboy builders that do deliberate poor work

The media could not be loaded.  Very helpful tool quality like always is the best save me a lot of time plastering

Good firm holder to wall

It’s quite light and sturdy. I didn’t used it atm but I can’t wait to use it .

Not being the best plasterer in the world I decided to give this a go , being 900mm long it meant that I could cover a large area fairly quick and the results were a lot better and flatter than previous attempts using a trowel. It seemed quite dear but did the job fine and fairly easy to clean , even after I lazily left it without cleaning one time. I would recommend this to anyone that has plastered before , check out the you tube videos of it in use .

Good product

Only used twice so please note this is a very limited review.It felt a little awkward to hold but then I've not used one before.Seems to perform well and certainly helped speed up a small wall I was skimming.Downside is the speed skim was a little too big to use on a smaller wall I need to skim and it's another item to clean up at the end of a plastering session.I'm sure if I keep practising this will prove a great time saver and make my DIY projects easier.
