Helly Hansen Mandal PVC Coated Rain Jacket for Men, Waterproof Rain Coat

Very nice 100% waterproof PVC jacket. Quality comparable to Grundens but at a fraction of the price. I purchased the XL navy blue jacket but the color is not a deep blue but kind of blue/grayish in color. XL Fits nicely but I think an XXL would’ve fit me well too if I had to wear thicker clothing. I bought one for each member in the family in different colors. We use it for heavy rain days to keep dry. Not like the lightweight cheap “breathable” rain jackets that get soaked quickly in heavy rain. 100% happy with this purchase, highly recommend this jacket for heavy rain days.

Finally, a decent rain jacket for work. This is a decent jacket. The hood is large enough to cover headgear and the material is waterproof. No sewn seams to pull apart and leak and a good size. I'm 6'4" and thin. The XL fits well with enough room for heavy winter clothes under it. My only gripe is the way it closes which is by snaps. It tends to pop open but I'm not sure how I could make it better. The snaps are better than a zipper IMHO. I also got the Mandel bibs in size L and with this combination and some wellingtons I can work outdoors all day in driving rain and my clothes stay dry. Much better than some of the other garbage rain gear I've tried.

Definitely sturdy and rainproof, but the snap closure leaves much to be desired. They unsnap when bending over to, for example, pick up and bag my dog's waste. A good, sturdy zipper would be preferable. The company has a stellar reputation, but this is a bit of a disappointment.

I got this for my husband and got the larger size (6X) so he would have room to bend and move over his normal clothing, but it is too large and the sleeves are a bit too long. There is also already a lot of room in the upper arm area. The material it is made from is the most heavy duty material and would probably last forever, maybe a bit too rugged for a Florida climate's rainy days. It is very well made but while he said he will keep the 6X, I wish I did order the 5X. His dimensions were more in line with the 5X. We get very few cold days in Florida but if we get a cold rainy day, this would be quite nice, but if you are looking for a lighter weight rain jacket, this seems more ideal for northern climates. Had to find another more lightweight jacket, however there is rugged quality to this Helly Hansen jacket.

De regenjas een ganse dag gebruikt om muren af te sluiten met de hogedrukreiniger. Mijn kledij er onder is droog gebleven. De maat is zoals van mijn andere kledij. Echte aanrader.

Este año ha sido uno excepcional en lluvias y tenía varias chaquetas supuestamente impermeables pero nada más lejos de la realidad. He comprado esta sin conocer la marca y encontrando ésta al poner en el buscador "impermeable de trabajo". Tenía ciertas dudas con ella pero al recibirla y usarla bajo la lluvia las he despejado todas. Esta chaqueta es un impermeable magnífico. A pesar que cuenta con algunas costuras no se filtra ni una sola gota de agua. Es, sin duda, la mejor opción calidad precio que pude haber encontrado. Destacar que la política de Helly Hansen en Amazon es mantener el precio siempre igual, ni subirlo en invierno ni bajarlo en verano fuera de la temporada de lluvias, así que es muy ajustado. Por poco más de 50€ se puede uno llevar un producto de muy alta calidad. Destacar que es impermeable no sólo de fuera para dentro: tampoco transpira por lo que hay que tener esto en cuenta porque bajo una lluvia fuerte se puede pasar calor con esta chaqueta. La recomiendo fervientemente.
