O.K., not flawless
Some sync trouble. My receiver is located in a remote location. If the receiver powers up before the transmitter there doesn't seem to be anyway to get it to sync unless you can access the receiver or power cycle it. Also trouble with 1280x800 resolution (not full screen on NEC projector).

works for what I wanted
after many questions to seller I bought and installed upgraded my switches on their reconditions to gigabyte over my network in my home, need to check if my cable provider will replace my router to gigabyte from 10/100 some sound sinking not bad watching a movie notice it the most when watching the news or talk show. Buy a good HDMI splitter for this project my sons had to replace the one I bought had some problems with the one I bought.went with this option because did not want to run new cat cable through out the house.

NOT HDBaseT and NOT for Gaming
The description says HDBaseT but it's HDbitT; you can actually see this in the picture of the RJ-45 port (looks like the description changer after my review). It kinda works, but not great; some of the problems may be because I'm using cat5e. High resolutions are pixelated and cut in/out; 720p does work. I also didn't have any luck with the IR. If you want this for gaming, forget it, the latency is horrible.

Best extender to date
I operate a copustom AV installation company and I have used several HDMI to Cat-5 extenders in the past with marginal results. This unit worked flawlessly over the advertised distance. I will use it again.

Didn't work the way i expected. I wanted to ...
Didn't work the way i expected. I wanted to use the IR over a network but it didnt work. The IR extender only works when you use a direct cable between the 2. Also when you connect it to your network, it starts spewing multicast traffic even with no video input. Uses 12Mbps whether you have video attached or not.
