Easy installation. Strainer catches the large chunks of food. I like it

This is the exact drain/strainer set that came with my sink. The strainer broke so I needed a replacement.

We had our plumber install this while replumbing the drain pipes for our new sink. I did perform a dry-fit installation before we installed the sink, so am familiar with how easy it is to install. The strainer looks great in our solid surface sink, didn't see any reason to spend 2-3 times the price for an oil rubbed bronze finish which may or may not match our faucet. The only issue we've had is that it's not easy to reliably stop the drain with the included rubber gasket which sits under the basket. We get it to work eventually, and it's not something we do regularly (almost never, really). But for those who do, a simple solid rubber plug would be a lot easier to use. The basket strainer works great, though!

Super easy to install. Bottom half is plastic rather than metal. So far no leaks.

My wife and I bought a Kraus sink that came with a fancier strainer with an inset basket. Unfortunately, this put the drain too low compared to the stub-out in the wall, so I had to replace it. Overall, this is well made and installation was a breeze. It looks good and matches the finish on my sink perfectly. My wife still laments over not getting to use the basket strainer, but this is an excellent second choice.
