23 June 2019 UPDATE--I've upgraded this to 5 stars. My previous gripes about the kick-out stand being flimsy has not been a problem. My frustration with not being able to hold it in Portrait configuration is still there, but the phone's charging port is on the bottom, which prevents the case from holding it upright in that position.I broke my old phone and wanted a protective case for my replacement--a Droid Z Play. You have to take the flat back off the phone, but the case snaps right in and stays snug on the phone.The buttons for the Off/On and Volume controls line up perfectly. They are a little harder to push, now because they are made of the same rubber like material as the inside part of the case. My only complaint is that the kickout stand at back seems a little flimsy. --UPDATE-- I've been using this for several months, now and the kickout stand has not been a problem. I don't use it every day, so daily use may reveal a problem.I criticized the stand earlier because it wouldn't hold the phone in the "Portrait" (short side on top) mode. While I still wish it could, the phone's charging port is on the bottom so it would get in the way.Other than that, it's a great case. The molded hard outer shell allows you to firmly grasp it, even if your hands are wet or oily... I chose a green color to make it easier to see for my 60--something year old eyes.All in all, its a great product at a great price. I subtracted 1 star only because of the kickout stand issue.

Totally worth the price. Provides better grip, and not bad looking

A very good, rugged protective case for a fraction of the price of phone store products. The fit is perfect. It gives me a secure grip on what is otherwise a rather big, slippery phone.For the reviewers who are saying that the case doesn't fit, you need to take off the phone's add-on removable hard-shell back. This case replaces the back. The fit is very snug and there is no way it can pop off by itself, and the buttons and openings line up perfectly.I chose bright orange because I work with my phone in the field (it doubles as my GPS device.) The color makes it easy to find it when working in rough weeds and brush. So far so good, although I haven't yet put it to "the drop test."The one negative is that is takes a fairly stiff push to work the power button. It takes getting use to but for me it's not a deal breaker.

I like the slim feel and the durability is worth the purchase. Bonus is the kickstand to hold the phone up if you want to watch something

After reading reviews more than likely necessary, I noticed the issue most people had with non fitting cases was they did not remove the cover the store puts on. So this is mind, this seemed like a good case as it offers some protection and avoids the phone sliding on a surface like some flat backed ones may. It lips over the screen nice. Actually feels lighter than the back the store put on. May same to fit a bit off by the charger & phone jack cut outs but the phone, for me, has stayed secured so far. Kickstand take it or leave it, depends on how much it matters to you. As far as I can tell it works. A couple of things to keep in mind. The price leaves you with little complaining room. Options are limited right now, iPhone and Samsung are going to have more options because those are more popular phones. So in conclusion, solid and lightweight with decent grip. I'll give 5 stars but keep in mind it hasn't been "tested" on my end.

Some reviews made it sound like this case would work with an interchangeable back, thus making it possible to cover the Moto Mod connectors left open, but this is not the case. Unfortunately, most cases leave the magnets exposed as this case does, it is otherwise a nice case, but I agree with what I found in threads online, that perhaps most of the case makes didn't understand how the mods work. You still need to take this off to use any mods or fashion back plates if desired. I don't have plans to use mods, but it still seems like it would be a good idea to protect the magnets just to be safe, so I'm thinking I'll attach something thin to the inside of the case to cover that particular cutout, maybe a piece of silmat.Other than that issue this case is fine. The black portion of the case looks like it would be softer than it is, it is hard plastic, not a soft rubber material like it appears. That bothers my husband, but as I am holding the phone I don't notice that aspect of the case much. The sides offer decent grip and it seems to be pretty good protection offered. I would rather have a UAG case, but they don't make one for this phone yet. Hope this helps. Happy case hunting.

First of all, it just doesn't fit on my Moto Z play Droid, although it claims that that is what it is for. It states that it is a soft inner liner and that it just not true - it is hard plastic, not silicone, which is why it won't fit. It doesn't stretch or mold to the phone. Frankly I don't see how it would offer much protection as it is just plastic - there is no give to absorb an impact.

I wouldn't buy from them again. I bought a case that said it was for a motorola moto z the case doesn't fit and the seller is saying it's for a different model..?? Maybe your ad should be more clear...
