Awesome value!
This RC truck is a great choice for a child. I own many high end RCs and have been in the hobby for decades. This thing is very tough and will handle whatever your child throws at it. It's a great place to start and they can very easily hop up to something faster after this. I love how it comes with the standard pistol grip remote transmitter. The lights are also a great touch, my kids love driving it indoors with the lights off especially. It's got enough cushion all over that it won't tear anything up too bad. You really can't beat the value of this car for the price, highly recommended!

Good value, fun RC Truck
The truck arrived and the packaging from the factory appeared to be well considered (i appreciated the lack of styrofoam) and everything seemed well protected. At first glance the body of the truck seems a bit flimsy, though after using it for a short time, it becomes clear that it may be an advantage. The truck seems designed to withstand bumping into things without damage. The body is easily removed with the small clips that hold it in place. Under the body, the suspension looks like a real truck. the battery is easily accessed without tools and everything has the appearance of being well thought out. When i first tried it, the truck was not responsive to the controller. Replacing the batteries with fresh ones solved that quickly. During somewhat limited play, the truck was fun, bouncing over obstacles and absorbing shocks. Trying to play with it quietly in the basement so my kids wouldn't hear me was probably no the best place -- it seems to want less confined spaces. And I would expect it would do well outside (if you don't mind getting it dirty). I appreciated that the speed was trigger sensitive, allowing me to go slower in tighter spaces. I wish the turning radius was a bit tighter but with practice, I think it won't be too difficult to get used to its limitation. The headlights and taillights were surprisingly helpful thought it would be nice you could turn them on independently from the forward/reverse motion. The truck came with 2 batteries, 2 USB adapters for charging the batteries and also a small screwdriver, spare screws and spare clips for holding the bodywork on -- nice touches. In all it seems that it is a good value for the cost.

This little truck is outright fun to run!
I found the shell to be very thin but it appears to be durable. Access to the battery compartment required removing four cotter pins through small posts. It was easy to access the battery. The directions did not clearly show how the battery was to be oriented so I attached a picture. The pins can be removed and replaced quickly and easily even without seeing the holes in the posts. The truck performed very well in tall grass (8 inch+ / 20 cm+) and dirt due to the four wheel drive. It was slightly awkward turning on pavement since four wheels were driving the truck without a differential as you would have in a automobile. However, the truck never flipped even with hard turns.I was surprised to find out that the truck was operational for almost 25 minutes when it was run at maximum speed for most of that time. On three tries, vehicle control could be maintained at very acceptable distances of 86/68/75 yards (79/62/69 meters). With that running time and two batteries that charge in about an hour (supplied with the truck), this could be a continuous source of entertainment. All in all, this is a great remote truck for kids and I would highly endorse it.

Really want to like it, but WAY TOO FRAGILE
Bought this for my 7 yo as a first "real" R/C car. He was pumped, and for the short times we've had it working, it's awesome. Unfortunately, the plastic it's made of makes the car WAY too fragile to be used. When my son reversed it into a stair at an angle, after the first 10 min or so of play, the axle was snapped. Support responded fairly quickly, but sent the wrong parts. On attempt 2 they sent most of the needed parts (along with many extra). I had to substitute a paper clip for a missing plastic rod, but got it back up and running. After another 20 min or so of driving in the backyard, steering no longer worked. I took it apart to find a tooth on a plastic gear within the steering mech had snapped off. I can't speak to battery life because we haven't gotten through a full battery yet. Super disappointing.
