One Year (almost) Update
Original review below. Glad we purchased the warranty with this one. Two weeks before the one year mark, it stated giving errors with every brew then shut off permanently. We couldn’t get it to turn back on. Unplugged, waited, plugged back in. Nothing. Tried several times. Finally sent the claim in and shipped off the item. Same day they got the item we got a refund. So a good review for the offered warranty. Not happy the Keurig couldn’t make it even one year. -Original Review- Connecting this brewer to our wifi was easy with the app. We only used the remote brew feature a few times because it was a new idea, and now just hit brew manually like a normal keurig. The only reason for buying the Smart version was it was on sale for a lower price than the regular version. The Brew ID is a nice feature. There is a whole lot of adjustability on the brew settings for temp and strength vs regular brewers. The coffee is very good with the subtle flavors being brought out due to the brew process. The massive water reservoir is wonderful! It is easy to remove and carry for a refill. A very nice upgrade from our old brewer.

Best Keurig Yet!
We’ve had the Classic and Elite Keurig. This one is the best we’ve had so far in my opinion. Here’s some thoughts that may help if you’re trying to decide between Keurig models that I wondered about because it can be overwhelming trying to read each models options. I honestly don’t think we need the WiFi option on it, but if your a person that likes to start your coffee from your phone or tablet while you’re siting on the couch or in bed then this would be a neat option for you. You can do different settings in the App as well. If that doesn’t matter to you then I’d think about choosing the K supreme plus (without the ‘smart’ option) that has all the same options ( I believe) without the WiFi and costs less. The options on this model are more than we’ve had on previous Keurigs: 1. You can save personal favorite settings and just press that one button each time instead of choosing the strength and temp each time. I believe there’s 3 favorite settings you can save for 3 people or 3 options . 2. More options for the temperature (see the video) I put the thermometer under it while it was running at the hottest setting. ( see pictures) The hottest it got up to was 182 while dripping, the cup of coffee right when it stopped filling up was about 173 degrees . For us that’s pretty hot and does get hotter than the Eilite we had previously. 3. More options for the strength (see the video) 4. 5 prongs vs 1 puncture the pod to get more flavor out of your coffee which I did notice. 5. WiFi settings if that’s something you’d like to have are pretty neat. You don’t have to be connected to WIFi though to use the Keurig it’s just an extra option. 6. A lot Quieter than the other Keurigs we’ve used . 7. It tells you if a used pod is in the machine so you remember to take it out and not reuse it. 8. It takes a picture of the coffee pod you put in and sets the machines settings to where it feels you’d get the best cup of coffee from that brand or type of pod you put in and you just hit start. ( Or you can bypass it and choose what you want) 9. The handle on the water side is awesome, much easier to take off and on to fill up. It hold just a little more water than the elite but looks smaller. 10. It is a slimmer shape and doesn’t take up a ton of room. It’s kind of an L shape , you can’t move the water to the back like on another Keurig model but the way it sits is great for us & still takes up less room than previous models. 11. This may seem little but it has a spring to the top which makes it nicer and easier to open than previous keurigs. The time it takes to fill your cup is a little longer the stronger you go but that’s a good thing in my opinion it just means it’s letting the water soak into your pod to get more flavor from your coffee. People mentioned it splatters out of their cup when it’s filling their cup up so I was worried about that. I did notice a few little splashes with some dots of coffee on the counter which isn’t fabulous but it’s really not much at all to wipe it down each time. It’s really very very little. This Keurig model we feel is the best one we’ve gotten due to the extra options , doesn’t take up as much counter space and looks very pretty in my opinion…it’s not plasticky looking like the previous ones , the top part is a pretty shiny black metal and feels heavy. We bought this on sale when Amazon was having their prime day deals and very happy we did. I still think it’s worth the normal price even not being on sale.

Hated it even before it broke. Not a good machine.
Try a different machine. 1) This one leaves grounds in your coffee. I think it's something about it making 5 holes on top and trying to put water through fast (even though this takes longer to brew) and you just end up with an overflow. I only use K cups, not not sure if this is better with other brands. I thought mine was defective, but then I got on here and realize it's everyone. 2) It takes twice as long to brew. This wouldn't be as terrible if it would just START, but the features have you standing next to the pot for 2 whole minutes to click through. It's like an ad (where you only watch the coffee pot screen) to get the the next item. Because of a lot of the mechanical/programing bugs in the recognition of water, or water speed, or a million other issues it often fails brewing part way and stops. You'll get a 1/2 brewed cup or it wont start unless you're right next to it to reset it... again. Usually it brews faster after that (only 30 seconds rather than 2 minutes). The water container is small and you'll be removing that tub every 3 days if your sensor works. Or if you're like mine and it only brews if it's full then you get to fill it every time you make a cup (and have to reposition the water chamber a few times to get the sensor to read that there is indeed water). Bugs. Instantly out of the machine it would not recognize the pod sometimes. Sometimes it would not acknowledge that there is water and have you lift and set the water pot back in. That bug got worse with time and then it was full holder and sometimes not even then. The speed which water goes through the system causes it to start and stop partially brewed (like half of the cup size you selected or less), sometimes with bonus coffee grounds in the cup, Sometimes only the grounds and a smidge of water like it sneezed into the cup. I finially got on here because the backlight of the brewer selection menu on the top wont light, so I used it without (memorized button placement, even if I can't see it it still let me push to start it) and just a few days later no abilty to brew at all. It twitched back to life once about a week later (despierate me trying to get my fix). Now it's back to no coffee no matter where it's plugged in. I've had 3 or 4 Keurig's now? They break often, only one lasting a 5 year stint. Made to break. This one just... didn't last longer than 7 months. I'm a daily coffee drinker during the work week. Just one cup per day for 5 days. Currently just making cold brew in a jar, never dies, while I navigate returns. Which are just as fun as everyone would expect. The longer they make it take.. the less likely you are to keep up with it all and ever get your return. Might update how many contacts it takes and how long it takes to get a replacement. Fun Fun. Pros: When it did work the coffee was good. Brew temp was good on the basic setting and it wasn't a bitter cup. Just sometimes gritty. It has fun gadetry if you connect it to the internet? I never did this. My wifi to my kitchen is funky and I was afraid it would keep erroring or not sensing etc etc.. and I just wanted my cup of coffee. I'd trade basic for quick on my work mornings and even skipping this... it takes... a few minutes to consider starting. My last one would wake up on time and be ready to pop out coffee or two in the time it takes this one to just accept my order.

Great Machine!
I love the design of this brewer. The side reservoir is so easy to lift up and refill and the look is sleek and elegant (something missing in many Keurig models IMHO). Note this machine doesn't have an on/off function. It starts up when you lift the lid and shuts off after 5 minutes of inactivity. Different from the other Keurigs I've owned, it doesn't take the minute or so to heat a reservoir of water - it seems to heat water instantly on demand. That's a great feature. I've used it with both the reusable and disposable K-Cups. Lots of options to tailor the brew cycle to your own preference (temp, strength, volume). Highly recommend.

Best Coffee Ever, Worth Every Penny!!!
My beloved 60 ounce tank, 12 year old, Keurig gurgled its last this past Friday night. I was left cup in hand, staring at my empty cup, at my Keurig, at my cup, at my Keurig. I ran to Amazon and picked the best Keurig I could get the quickest. After I ordered it, I went back and looked at the reviews and was a little scared because some look negative. I’ve had it since Saturday afternoon, made several cups of coffee, using many different types of K cups and can say it’s a superlative device, with a 78 ounce tank too, woo hoo!. It has virtually no warm up, so fast and quiet, I was surprised to see a full cup of coffee under the brewer. I confess to being a K cup hoarder, I have hundreds of them, maybe 6 years old (or more, don’t judge). I put a 4 year old one in last night and it was more delicious than when it was new. For me the best feature is the temperature control, I want be able to drink my morning coffee and not be late for work or burn off the lining of my mouth, so I brew on the coolest setting. It is a Smart brew and I had problems connecting to the WiFi using my iPhone, it kept saying my password was wrong. To make it work I used my iPad which has no cell service attached to it and followed the directions on the Keurig App to connect to my 2.4 GHz WIFI network, not the 5. It set up correctly the first time and I brewed my first Brew ID cup, delicious! I did have to close and open the App on my phone to see the Brewer listed on it once I got it online. Another problem I read about, but didn’t have, was the machine getting a message that you need to fill the reservoir, even though it’s filled. You need to use unfiltered tap water if you use the provided filter. With filtered water, the Keurig filter doesn’t sense the minerals in the water and thinks there is no water, so it doesn’t work. After my first Brew ID, I got the cute note I uploaded. Can caffeine give you a glow hmmm? I hope you enjoy your Keurig as much as I do mine.

Brew ID plus other tips
Original Review: We've been using the Keurig K-Supreme Plus Smart coffee maker for one week now, and we're really enjoying it. First of all, for those of you having issues with Brew ID, here's a tip. You have to open the lid completely for the coffee maker to recognize your brand of K-Cup. Because mine was completely under the cabinets, I wasn't able to fully open the lid and therefore, the light which helps take a picture of the top of the K-Cup pod wasn't coming on. I searched for help everywhere on why it doesn't always work and couldn't find anything. Keurig should place this on their FAQs on their website. By the way, I now have a favorite cup of coffee thanks to the new machine. We typically buy Costco Kirkland's brand called Pacific Bold. The coffee maker recognizes it, but doesn't show the name on the display, but it comes out perfectly with the recommended brew. However, I purchased the Donut Shop coffee and the brewer recognizes it, shows the name on the display, and the coffee is delicious! For those of you upset because you still have to confirm your "scheduled" brew, I completely understand why it works that way. If you set the schedule and you forget to use a mug, you'll have coffee all over your counter. I can't trust myself to remember to place the mug there before I go to bed, so when I receive the reminder on my phone, I can confirm if I did remember to place the mug and then tap to brew the coffee. By the time I come downstairs in the morning, my cup is already made. So far, we love the coffee maker. The multi-stream really helps to capture the full flavor of all of the coffee in the K-Cup. Also, I love having a handle on the water reservoir. Our last Keurig didn't have that and it was difficult to carry back and forth to the sink. Update: I'm adding to this review to give some advice to Keurig. On 8/22/22, I woke up and started brewing a coffee. The water reservoir was full and the machine spit out a drop of coffee and started making weird sounds. The unit turned off and would not power up again. I removed the plug, checked it with another device and it still would not turn back on. I moved it to another area in the kitchen and same thing, would not power on. Called Keurig. Customer service was very helpful. Since it was still under warranty, they are replacing the unit with a new one which will reset the one-year warranty. I had to take a picture of the serial number, send them the original proof of purchase (since I bought this on Amazon, it was easy to find in my order history) and they required the copy which says it was delivered or else they would deny the claim. I also had to send them a picture of the brewer with a hand written note including my name (caution, the name on the note needs to match perfectly with the name on your account - I wrote Joseph instead of Joe on the note and they denied my original claim), date, and reference number. I also had to send them my shipping address. That was 8/22 and UPS is delivering the unit today (8/25). After several Google searches and watching Youtube videos, it appears my problem is with a safety feature of the thermostat. If the brewer gets too hot, it will automatically power off -- forever. That is until you take the unit apart and press a reset button on the thermostat. My recommendation for Keurig is to make it easier for customers to press the reset button without having to take the unit apart. If this is a common issue (and I get that it's probably for safety reasons), they should allow us to easily access the part to press the reset button. It's been terribly inconvenient to wait for the brewer (even if it's only been four days), so I'm praying this doesn't happen again. If it does, I'm done with Keurig forever. Over the years, I've owned three Keurig's. One had to be replaced under warranty, the replacement died after the warranty expired, and a third unit finally stopped working after about three years of use. Now this new one stopped working after 8 months of owning, so I'm going on my fourth at this point.

The "Goldilocks" of Single-Serve Brewing!
If you’ve spent years tolerating the "coffee-flavored water" that some pod machines produce, the Keurig K-Supreme is here to stage an intervention. It’s a sleek, modern upgrade that finally addresses the biggest gripes of the K-Cup world. The MultiStream Technology is a real game-changer. Instead of one single needle punching through the center, the K-Supreme uses five needles to saturate the grounds evenly. The K-Supreme allows you to toggle the heat, which is a lifesaver if you like to add cold cream or if you're a "drink it immediately" kind of person.

Junk
UPDATE: November 7th, 2024 Yeah, LoL, absolute trash. I bought this February 24th, 2024. Those who are astute will notice that was a mere 9 months ago. The last 2 weeks, I have gone through roughly 20 wasted k-cups due to this brewer not finishing and having 'ERROR CODE 2' on the screen. I followed online troubleshooting, which is an elaborate "have you tried turning it off and on again". I then called and spoke to a representative who, as always, spoke perfect English and didn't interrupt me once (sarcasm). During this call, I had to follow the same steps I had already done and since the error is intermittent, the brew completed while on the phone. This was after "according to her records" I bought the machine in 2021 - so I had to be very firm and share the exact date I bought it as I was looking at the order and receipt on my PC screen at that very moment. She was in the process of telling me how she will send me a coupon (to buy k-cups from only their store, I'm sure) while I was trying to interrupt her and tell her that it won't fix it. I was also brewing a second cup at that moment, and it gave me an error code that time. Eventually, I had to speak very loudly and talk to someone in a way I don't enjoy. Not swearing or anything like that, but I had to be firm and raise my voice to get her to stop talking and trying to push me off the phone. Nobody should ever have to do that. It ended with them sending me a warranty replacement. I'm going to use it for the moment, because I don't have a choice. But I'm looking at Ninja's offerings now, since this cheap plastic "smart" one is the best they offer now. It didn't use to be like this. They used to have lights, style, touch screens, wallpapers, etc. And they used to last at least 5 years of more than average use. What happened to you, Keurig? To finish the abhorrent phone call, I was told to wait on the line for a breif survey... I was hung up on instead. That's one way to make sure you don't get bad reviews, I guess? ________________________________________________________________________________________________ I don't know what happened to Keurig. My last 3 makers (that's right, merely 3, since 2008) lasted very long. And were very reliable. I always bought the best one since ours is used daily multiple times. This one, however, not only looks like generic crap with plastic everywhere and no lights in the reservoir and junky plastic buttons - but it is also 100% pointless getting the smart version. The remote brew *never* works. All I wanted was to be able to start my coffee remotely as I'm getting out of bed. But the app to do this is just horrific. It usually reports it as 'brewing' when you open the app, despite it not being touched yet. Or you start it, and it doesn't actually start, so you walk out to an empty cup. Possibly worst of all, it takes about 5 steps to get to the part where you can brew remotely, including a fingerprint, lol. And lastly, the scheduled remote brew doesn't actually start it - it waits for you to click brew anyway. In case your cup isn't under it... Now I could swear I was able to set a remote brew on my coffee pot before Keurig made k-cups. Even before the Internet. This is of course not user error. I have very strong home networking with a high performance gigabit internet, $200 modem, and $400 router because I have over 35 connected devices. I have, of course, cleared cache and factory reset the app many times. It's junk. Do not waste your time or money getting the "smart" one because the only thing they really want is the opportunity to try to hook you in their coffee subscription - that's the purpose of all of this. To get you to open the app and possibly buy monthly coffee, lol. Will update if they ever do the right thing and separate the brewing to its own app. But I doubt it because everything needs a subscription these days to be profitable (sarcasm).

Excellent coffee maker
Love the options on this Keurig. Makes much better coffee than older models and the heat selection is great. The water vessel is much better than previous models and easier to access and fill. A good purchase.

Works like it says it will.
I have to admit that I am a Nespresso girl but wanted a single serve machine for my trailer and decided to try out this machine. I like my coffee fresh and hot and this seems to suit my needs. I also like the fact that I am able to buy coffee just about anywhere. I did buy this from Amazon as it was 100.00+ More on the Keurig website.

Buyer Beware
I've been using Keurig machines since they were introduced - never a problem - until now. This is my 4th Keurig since February, 2025. The first three Elite models died after a few weeks (started brewing then shut down- I won't bore you with the details). Call me crazy, but I thought a different model might make the difference. I was wrong. This one (maybe 3 weeks old) started by failing to dispense Maxwell House "soft pods" properly. Brewing process resulted in nothing but hot water and a lot of wasted pods. We stopped using the soft pods. Then I started getting "Add Water" alerts when the tank was full (we only use bottled water). By wiggling the intake spout at the base of the machine, we were able to get around the error. This is ongoing. Now, every time we pop in (any brand) pod we get an error identifying it as a used pod. Brewing abruptly quits. We have to lift the lid and start again to get a complete brew. In addition, the "Brew ID" often fails to identify the brands it previously recognized. So, after spending roughly $1000 in Keurig machines since February, we are the proud owners of yet another unreliable poorly manufactured piece of Keurig rubbish. I certainly won't be replacing it with anything remotely related to Keurig. Update: Nov. 2025 We learned to tolerate all the errors over the months and got used to dealing with the extreme slowness and unreliability of the machine - not without a great deal of frustration - Now, it's dispensing partial cups and the pump sounds like it's struggling. Resetting makes no difference. Shamefully inferior product. Update Nov. 29 2025 The machine has been struggling to deliver an accurate brew since yesterday, can't decide what to call the (name brand) pods, started producing far less than selected size, pump made strange noises and finally there was a loud bang - just like a large balloon popping - which was quite startling. I've never heard anything like it from an electrical device. I immediately unplugged this junk and won't use it again.
