I wouldn't get these. I would get some of the plastic covers. I ended up getting the plastic covers and thre away the braided cable

This sleeve doesn't have a slit along a side. We have to push the cable thru one end to the other. This sleeve is expandable, it expand up to 1.5 time s. So, it is easy to push cable. If you want side opening sleeves, then go for F6N1.00 sleeve.

Can you cut slits through the side (without unraveling) to pull through cords at various lengths?

Agree with other responses. If you want it super clean melt the edges where you cut
