OEM 13" Bissell PowerForce Brush Roller 203-1289

Although not listed, it fits well on the Bissell helix 2191. The color is different than the original ones but who cares.I have the feeling it is more robust than the original roller which broke after a year. The bearings feel more solid. And it rolls easier. I only used the new roller once so far so we have to see how long it lasts.

If you have bissell turbo helix power force vacuum it will not fit because it’s only 13” and this vacuum is 15” long so beware of that.

Bought this for a Bissell 1700 vacuum. It seemed just a tiny bit too wide at first, but then I figured out you have to slide the side with the "flat" ends (on the end cap) in first then put the side with the "round-center" in second. Same with putting the brush cover back on. Works great and really does a good job. This is a 13" roller brush and is OEM replacement. Thanks to Amazon's speedy delivery it arrived early and I was able to move all the furniture in the parlor/LR on Friday night for my better half so we could vacuum and rearrange the whole room instead of BBQ, have a beer and sit in the recliner watching wrestling or a movie. it should state the fittings and the part number should state that this is compatible to the OEM part for the 13" Bissell vacuum brush roller model #Model No 2038072 (Bissell Powerforce® Helix™ Bagless Upright Vacuum Model 1700R), i took a chance on getting this only because someone else had mention the same thing on the review and to take a chance and so i did and it fits exactly to my current vacuum

I really like this replacement brush bar. It's actually better than the original one that came with the vacuum because the brisle spiral pattern on one end of the brush bar, about a third, is in the opposite direction. Where the two patterns meet is right where the suction inlet is for the vacuum which is about a third of the way to one side, not all the way to one end. The original one that came with the vacuum had one continuous spiral pattern on the brush bar that would push dirt all to one end. Although it's just a minor difference and you probably wouldn't notice adifference in cleaning power but this replacement brush bar will be a bit more efficient at moving dirt directly to the vacuum inlet. Not difficult to install either.

Had the cap that holds the bearing for the brush roll break on my Powerforce 1739, and instead of throwing it out and buying a new one decided to take a crack at repairing it. It's a very easy repair, 5 screws to remove the cover and you can just pull it out.My model wasn't listed in the compatibility chart for this part, but it fits and works just fine. The color is different (it has black brushes instead of blue), but I'm not terribly picky, as long as it cleans. A whole lot better than the "official" part which was $25, which I was reluctant to pay to fix a $60 vacuum. $13 I can live with. Saved me from tossing a vacuum and buying a whole new one.I can't say much yet as far as its reliability, as I've only just installed, so I'm giving it a 3 in that category. Otherwise, it's working good now, so I clean my house!

My Bissell Powerforce vacuum that I’ve had for years started making a knocking noise, almost like a chainsaw sound when I tried using it. I removed the old roller and turned the vacuum on to determine that the motor wasn’t making the noise, then I took my old roller apart and changed the bearings which made no difference. Finally I bought a whole new roller and the vacuum now works great. No knocking noise at all. Easy to install, there are just four screws to get the plastic guard off and a small rubber belt to wrap around the roller. Very happy with my purchase.

My vacuum started spitting tiny little beads of black plastic everywhere and smelled like it was about to catch on fire. I checked and saw the problem was with the brush roller - it looked like it just suddenly melted for no good reason as it wasn't clogged or stuck or anything. I figured there had to be a way to fix it rather than buying a whole new vacuum and sure enough, Amazon had the part. It snapped right into place - no tools needed, just pop off the belt, remove the old one, attach the belt to the new roller and it popped right into place. Perfect fit and the vacuum is like new.

This is my 3rd replacement of this VERY BADLY designed power brush in 3 years. The problem? Hair gets tangled inside the caps at the ends where the bearings are located and are supposedly protected. Once hair gets in there, the brushes high rate of rotation, jambs the hair in the caps forcing the PLASTIC bearing seat to the point where it gets hot and warps. The result? Well the bearing seat is now warped and the brush doesn't run true, and vibrates like crazy. WHY DON'T YOU DESIGN THIS WITH WOOD / STEEL like the older "Electrolux" vacuum power heads? OH! I forgot...it's all about getting more money from customers rather than putting out a decent product. Silly of me to think there may be still some quality built out there in the world!.

For years of using my Bissel PowerForce vacuum, the original roller brush burnt on the square side, and it makes annoying sound. I replaced it with this 13” Bissell PowerForce roller brush and it work just fine.

Great, solid replacement brush. Quality at a reasonable price.
