These little dimmer switches work great. Only issue is they do not function as the instructions say. Basically, center button is the dimmer and on switch. To dim you have to keep pressing the center button to cycle through the bright settings to get to the dimming settings. Then to turn off just hold the center button in. I don't use the top or bottom button since I don't need flashing lights. They are compact which is exactly what I needed, and compact 12v dimmer.

Just what you expect, decent level of control for brightness and best of all, they keep memory of what the settings are when power gets interrupted and back on. The memory function works, but it also changes every time you turn it on because it interprets the button press as power on and brightness increase. Also, the dim brightness settings flicker horribly. Unusable. I tried multiple of them to confirm it was not a single faulty unit.

Work like they said it would. Just wired into a led and set it the way I wanted. Works great. makes a cheap LED have some cool features.

Like the different lighting options, appear to be a quality product but I did have one fail out of the box.Updated; These switches drain a nine volt battery whether you have the lights on or off. I have tested 3 of the switches and each one drained brand new 9 volt batteries again. Please note that in the off position the switch is still drawing power from the battery and you will find the battery dead the next time you want to turn it on. They should work fine on a 12 volt system.

Works perfect better than I expected

So long story short I used this with a 5m strip of 2835 leds 120leds/m. It worked great for probably 45 min (unsure exactly how long) and the leds went out. Upon inspection the unit was very hot and seemed like the board was unusually flexible. I unplugged it from the power source (a 5a 12vdc power supply) and let it cool down. After it cooled down for 30 min I plugged it back it which is when the magic blue smoke started coming out of it. No mention of the units current capacity or any reason why this would do this.
