Installing a cable railing can be a bit challenging with the overwhelming number of hardware pieces and tools available out there. The VistaView SwiftCatch fitting makes your life easier by eliminating all of the clutter in the marketplace and providing you with the best time saving piece when it comes to installing your own cable railing project. The steps are fast and simple (see Infographic): 1. Mount the first end of your cable railing strand using a tension fitting (Recommended: VistaView Threaded Terminals or SwiftCatch Threaded Terminals) in the end post. 2. String the cable through all intermediate posts. 3. Lace the cable through your second end post and slide the SwiftCatch onto the cable. The self-gripping fitting only slides one way on the cable, allowing you to slide it into the post hole and tension on the opposite end. 4. Cut off the excess cable outside of the SwiftCatch and pop on an end cap. The process of sliding the SwiftCatch onto the end of the cable takes seconds, making this piece a professional builder favorite. If you ever need to readjust or slide the SwiftCatch off the cable, use the SwiftCatch Release Tool to easily start over. SWIFTCATCH SPECIFICS: Overall Length = 1-1/4" Shaft Diameter = .36”, made for a 3/8” hole Head Diameter = 5/8” IMPORTANT: Cable must be 1/8” 1x19 strand in order to properly grip and hold in place. Have a hassle-free cable railing installation by using VistaView branded materials, tools and wealth of online resources and customer support (phone and email, before and after the sale). Buy VistaView CableTec with confidence so you do not have to worry. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed with VistaView!

Not worth the cost. Difficult t use
Ordered these to fabricate a cable rail for my second story slider. As far as esthetics, these fit the bill. Problem is getting them to work properly. They sometime hold the cable and sometimes don't. I had to re-do several runs of cables because the connector failed. I don't have confidence that others will hold over time. For something that is $10.00 each I suggest looking at other methods to secure the ends of your cables and avoid some frustration. They look good but don't consistently work!
