A little pricey but a very nice kit.
To the customer who gave this kit a low rating because they didn't get a battery, you are a dummy! It doesn't say anywhere that you get a battery with this, which is the same deal for literally all e bike kits on the internet for the most part, you should read what you are buying before you are buying it. Also, just return it if you didn't put it on your bike yet? If you think this kit comes with a battery, it doesn't. Okay rant over. So yeah I have about 250miles on this kit so far after installing it, I got the 48v 24" kit for $300 at the time, it's a little more costly than other kits but to me it looked worth the price compared to other kits as well being completely waterproof. I made my own batteries and used an XT60 connector to hook them up to this kit & this thing gets me up to about 30mph on flat ground on the highest setting (5). I normally use 2 or 3 to get my mileage out of my battery, the lower the setting the less amps if draws out of the battery & the more mileage i get. I used the Amp Current meter on the LCD screen to monitor this, if you're going uphill it takes more juice obvious, if you're going downhill it takes less to nothing. I get about 16miles+ on a 7.5ah battery. at about 250miles the back tire is starting to go bald so I'd suggest getting a heavy duty touring tire or something of that nature but it's a small price to pay for having so much fun! Also it would be easier to put an upgraded tube & tire on you kit to begin with before you hook it up the first time so I would recommend that. The controller stays pretty cool & no issues to far. You don't have to hook up the pedal assist if you don't want to it will run without. Also you don't have to use the break levers either, it will also run without those. I highly recommend the LCD screen as opposed to the LED it's awesome! I'm not expecting this kit to run forever & am thinking that eventually at some point the controller might burn out, but I could be wrong & hopefully I am, or hopefully just get enough mileage out of the kit before it does, & if it does eventually ebikeling offers just the controller for 50 dollars or so i think so maybe I'll just pick up an extra one in the future to have on hand. But yeah this kit is awesome, would recommend! Super fun, & now I want to do a 26'er or a 700c, or fat tire, kind of want them all lol.

Super Nice! I put this hub motor on my kids bike and because he only weighs 100 lbs his bike is now faster than my BBSHD bike! I still like my mid drive on my trail bike for climbing and jumping, but I am totally changing my commuter bike to accept this hub. This Hub motor is so efficient! If you ride in wet and snowy weather this hub motor is the way to go! There are no consumables to replace every 3 months. No chain or gear wear! I go through 3 sets of chains and cassettes on my mid drive a year. That equals $600 a year just to keep my mid drive running smooth. The ebikeling kit was only 475$ and you don't even have to put a chain on to run! The only point of failure naw is getting a flat tire.

Just what I was looking for!
I have had a wonderful 60 year old Solex motorbike in my basement for years, and since I was never going to use it as a motorbike again, I decided to update it as a rear-drive ebike. The motorbike was made in France, and so the sizes are a little different (i.e., handlebars are 1mm thicker than the attachments were made for so I needed to adapt them; I had to carefully sand out the thumb throttle until it slid on, etc.). However, the kit had everything I needed to update the bike with the exception of a battery (purchased separately) and a rear tire. Everything works and I have briefly tested it, but I still need to get a rear brake before I can take it out on the road (the original was a coaster brake in the back).I have no experience with any of the other kit providers, so can't comment on how Ebikeling compares, but their kit provided everything I wanted, and the conversion worked very well. I can't wait to take the bike out!

Quality kit and easy to install
Nicer than i expected. All items are plug and play and easy to install. Purchased the 24 inch 1200 watt rear hub motor kit. My wife is short and about 120 pounds. She flies on that bike. Highly recommend the kit.
