KDLINKS R100 is exceptional. It passes the five star rating. It should get 10 stars if there is any rating like that. Until and unless some manufacturers come up with something better than this product, this is unarguably the best in the market today. In quality and operation, this camera comes ready to outperform what the manufacturer claims. Unlike others that make themselves very obvious that your car in fitted with a Carcorder—a factor that can expose you to hoodlums who like to operate unnoticed, this one is unobtrusively “disguised” or hidden at the back of the car’s rear mirror.The recording is crisp and the color very natural and I must add breathtaking. The video is of very high quality. The best time to test the qualities of these cameras is how they record video at night. Even in low light, KDLINK is better than any other Carcorder recording that I have seen. It is not like one of those that look like crayon or painted colors. With KDLINKS, what you see with your eyes is what you get.Since I started using this camera, I have not had any problems with it. I have not regretted my investment on it. It is worth more than every penny that it cost. Should I buy this camera again? You bet. It is exceptional. It is so well built that I have not had the need to call the company to complain about anything.The two times that I called KDLINKS customer service was before I ordered it. I asked them question about its ability to perform in extreme temperatures. They assured me that it can. I live in New York. The weather there could be crazy--fluctuating from very cold to extremely hot. As international journalist, my duties take me to many parts of the world. I am now in Africa where the weather is double that of Arizona heat and this camera works perfectly well. Even my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 which I placed on my Dashboard complained with the message, “Too hot”, apparently unable to withstand the extreme hot African weather, KDLINKS which is even closer to my “hotplate” windshield continued to soldier on. I have never seen anything like this before.My two other previous cameras died on me when it could no longer withstand extreme weather. Consider this factor especially if you live in regions such as Texas, Arizona, Florida where the temperature can go haywire sometimes. KDLINKS customer service assured me then that their product worked well in any temperature, sub-zero to the hottest weather. Honestly, what they claimed then is true and is still true till now. This camera continues to work well even to this day.The other time I called their customer service was when I needed technical advice on how to upgrade to their latest version. It was seamless. I have read a lot about their customer service. It is better to experience it than have someone else tell you about them. They are simply good, very knowledgeable and above all very courteous. Michael, I owe one! We don’t have customer service like these guys anymore. These guys may the last of the original.Once I was confronted by some miscreants in a remote African village where I went to cover news. Needless to say that this camera helped the police to trace and arrest these hoodlums. Here, they were smiling on “Candid camera” without knowing that they were being recorded and headed to prison. How did I do this? I used the option that allows the owner to record video discretely. This feature has also become an indispensable tool for my undercover, investigative journalism. It’s only a matter of time before car manufacturers begins to install this feature in all future cars. One time I forgot to connect my KDLINKS and I felt my life was incomplete. Apart from my wife family, this Carcorder has become my best companion. When I am using it to record good scenery for Video Albums, I am using it to trap marauders when traveling in the areas you are not sure of.One other feature that KDLINKS has is the one that watches my car in the night against any form of vandalism or intruders who may want mess things up for me.When a driver hit my car, the feature that locks important video took over and protected the video of that action so that I could use it as valuable evidence when I needed it.The only improvement that needs to be made to this camera is to make it to record the third additional camera that I placed on my Dashboard at the same time as the other two cameras. That way I don’t have to toggle between the front, the back and the one inside. By the way, the third camera on my dashboard was my saving grace when some corrupt policemen bulged into my car and attempted to act funny. Other cameras in the market do not have this feature that I am suggesting, that people install this third “eye” to forestall any untoward action by anyone who has bad intention. That again, that’s the another way KDLINKS leaves the competition behind.KDLINKS is built very well and it is sturdy too. Forget about the hype by other manufacturers, nothing comes close.

This camera deserves a good review from the qaulity compared to all the other cameras not one of them is this unique with this spec build! the number one reason I bought this camera is for the safety of a reckless driver doing something stupid and blaming me causing the insurance company to raise my monthly payments and mark my record as an unsafe driver! But this camera makes me feel so safe that I now have the evidence to show them leaving me with a flawless record even if they try to blame me for the accident! Camera resolution is number one priority and every camera I see is either 1080 front and 720 / 480 back, but this one is 1296p front and 1080p back for full quality of the little details with a clearer image on the screen! Anything under 720p is unacceptable in my mind! If you need the license plate in the front and it is far making you have to zoom in you have a higher chance of capturing the detail when zoomed in on the license plate because it is 1296p instead of 1080p that is insane! I love how the Mirror is bigger allowing me to capture the blind spots behind me and making it more flexible to see what is behind me, I will never go back to a smaller mirror because of the amount of security I feel in the split seconds to react in rush hour! It straps on perfectly when I am driving hitting bumps anything the mirror does not move from it's original position! The features are awesome, I love to keep the camera on %100 of the time because honestly it looks cool lol I like things glowing in my car and when someone looks from the side into my car people are like is that a camera build into your mirror lol! I have recieved many compliments from my family and after showing them they are wanting to get one too lol!But just in case you want the full view of the the mirror there is a setting to take off the camera screen and it still records at the same time so you can see the full mirror which personally does not bother me I rather it on! Loop recording is a must so you do not have to delete the SD card over and over you can just simply let it record forever and it will delete the oldest video by itself with support up to 128 GB like no other because the others only support 32GB you will secure your videos are safe! You can always lock recording so you don't have to worry about if you wanted to save a older video it will automatically save with the G-senser locking recording if you get hit the vibrations triggers it to lock with different sensitivity settings to make sure it does not do it from random bumps I have had no problem I even tested it out and went over bumps and the camera did not trigger from the bumps with the same sensitivity I pushed the car and the G-senser kicked in! 600 mah giving it time to confirm recording and record while you are going into a store is pretty sweet! It is really easy to install I pushed all the wires into the crevices and the wires where all gone within 15 minutes front and back set up very easy no need to pay people to do what you can do in less then 30 minutes lol couple $100s for that lol I did not even have to take off one panel haha see for yourself! The night vision is perfect allowing it to be used both day and night with no problems keeping me feeling %100 percent safe hit your bright headlights on top of that and it looks like it is daytime lol! I can honestly go on and on about this because I have never felt so secure in my life driving! And the customer support is one of the best I have ever experienced I had the pleasure of speaking with Eric and he was very quick to respond and help me! Thank you for actually putting excellant quality into your products!

This is a well built dash and rear cam. In all, it took me a total of one and half hour to install. And I'm a lady. So anyone can do it. They provide a YouTube installation link in the package For you to follow. Quality of the video file is okay, not Hd. Zooming in, you can read the license plate number of the vehicle directly in front or behind you when reviewing the video. The rear view mirror is awesome. The Camera display is very clear for front and back cam. However, at night it is a little hard to see through the back window if your car is tinted like mine. I had thought the back cam was waterproof for outside mounting. But I was wrong. I had to remount it inside onto the hatchback window of my tinted SUV. During daytime the back cam shows well on the display. At night, however it is pitch dark unless a vehicle with headlights on approachs. The display froze once, but returned back to normal on its own. The buttons are hard to see, especially at night. I just had to memorize them by touch. Which aren't hard to do. There are other useful functions that I personally don't use because my car is equipped with It. I will upadate in a couple weeks after usage.4/30/2017I've been using this for a few months now without any issues. Just be aware that the car appears further away in the cam display than it really is. Other than that I love it. Keeps me worry free knowing if an incident happens I can rely on it for evidence. :)

I'm upgrading from the DX2 model, which was very good. However, this R100 is an improvement in every way. The mirror and screen is nice, big, and bright. The menu is easy to understand. I'm benefiting from the onboard battery - it doesn't lose the time/date, and doesn't require any resetting or reprogramming. It is a bigger battery and seems to hold a charge for much longer than the other models. What that means for me, is that I have it set to record for a good minute or more after I turn off the car (and walk away.)The video quality is top-notch. The rear cam also takes very nice video, and there is also an option to hook it up as a camera for when the car is in reverse (backup mode.) This is great for parking.I also like how it blends in with the car interior. People walking by probably only notice a rear-mirror, not realizing that it is a camera as well.I bought a Transcend 32GB High Endurance midrosd card and it seems to work very nice with this camera. I think that having a high-quality card makes a difference for performance, as well (although the camera comes with a card.)I've only had it for a week so far, but I'll come back and give an update in a few months. I think this dashcam is the one to get.

Used the Vantrue N1 previously and damn was this an upgrade! Paying a little bit extra compared to the competition definitely gave me a worry-free experience with this mirror.First off, the mirror's mounting points are skewed to one side for the camera to pop out from one side. The Vantrue was centered causing mounting issues on the VW GTI 2011. There is also NO vibration issues with this mirror unlike my previous "rearview mirror dashcam"Lane departure works fairly well when the lane marking is shown. I don't trust the Forward collision warning. It also makes an annoying beeping noise. I keep the Lane departure warning on just incase.Spent an hour routing my rearview camera through my car panels and it was well worth it. The camera is able to pick up license plates as shown in the pictures. Keep in mind, my rear window has 30% tints which are fairly dark.This camera works as a backup camera as well as a dashcam. I love the ergonomics of this mirror. It sits flush with my old mirror unlike my other rearview mirror dashcam. Very happy with the purchase.IMPORTANT for accidents. Incase people decide not to read the manual, red record button means recording while yellow record button means it will not be overwritten during loop recording. You can click the OK button to lock the footage.

Love the camera. Very discrete, especially if you put some black tape around the protruding silver camera on the back of the mirror. I also coloured the inside black towards the lens with a black permanent marker to make it even less obvious to opportunist thieves. Only gave it a four star as my rear camera freezes every time I start the car. Not a big problem as I only have to press two buttons on the mirror and it's working as it should. Bit annoying though! I did contact the company and to be fair they did try to resolve the issue for many weeks, even sending me a new rear camera. When they couldn't resolve the issue, they did offer a sizeable partial refund, which I accepted. Still don't know if it's down to my car or the camera but happy anyway.

It's relatively good quality dash cam. The reason I don't give it 5 stars, it's too complicated to setup. The user manual did not cover certain user situation (you have to make some odd combination setting to get what you want). Also the one single 128GB SD card can get full in a few days. If you want to give the history for a few weeks - you have to get multiple SD cards and pop out and insert a new one is not very convenient due to the SD card insert position.
