I love ALL Tricia Guild’s books.She is just a brilliant designer and knows exactly how and what to use to achieve maximum impact with her designs and colour ways…Lovely photos of her designs, suggestions and the most amazing use of colour.I will continue to purchase her home books as and when they are printed!Highly recommend this,I always have them located in my bookcase or on a table in my living room.

This is not the sellers fault. But I have to review this book others are warned. The good: The book has really a lot of variants and its organized by shades, the photos are pretty and Mostly very traditional styles than contemporary]. The baddest: for me this was deal breaker of the deal-breakers. The writer in the text mention dozens shades of gray, blues, etc. Which I liked because I though I will learn about colors [my purpose of buying the damn book!], new colors vocabulary and what are differences between the shades. On each photo with design, there is also color samples photos...which as you would expect would be samples of dozens shades mentioned to explain you how the hell the color looks like and differentiate between each other. But no. Instead you experience this: you are looking at photo, read description that speaks about dozens shades of blue. Lets say Cobalt, Persian, Catalina, Pixie Powder, Egyptian used in one design.. You look at photo and think.. which color is this and this.. Next to photo you see color photo samples.. You are excited because surely the samples will tell you which color it is.. You look at the end of the book because the names are not written at the samples photos... and you find out that the color names is totally something completely different than she says [names used by company]..... So you still dont know what color on photo is what until you spend hours at every book page researching colors on the phone which is exhausting, inappropriate and disturbing.. So sorry, for me this is totally dysfunctional book.

The book was very well wrapped and arrived promptly. It has a great many photographs and coloured illustrations which inspire the reader to be more adventurous with their interior design.

This is a useful prompt for the amateur home decorator. Very comprehensive.
