Energy!
I absolutely love this product! I feel energized all day long when I take it. I feel amazing all together! Unfortunately the price was raised so high for such a tiny bottle it’s very disappointing. I’d like to see the quantity more worth the price. I would love be a monthly subscriber.

Westernized Traditional Chinese Medicine
From my research, Quicksilver Scientific's goal with Longevity Elite (LE) was to create an adaptogenic elixir to work within the natural aging process to help one stay mentally and physically youthful, energetic, and mentally acute. In essence, to have a longer "healthspan". The quality blend of ingredients gives credence to that goal. However, I honestly can't say with any certainty that if I regularly take this supplement that I'll reap those benefits. I've had a teaspoonful dose on an empty stomach for the past several days and I "think" I feel sharper and livelier. I'm 50 and take other supplements, so they may also contribute to that, but I'm drinking LE in the morning before consuming any of those (and even coffee). I could swear I feel a boost in mood and energy within minutes, but it may just be a placebo effect. Information on Quicksilver Scientific's website states, "Our master adaptogen and hormone tonic is designed to provide ongoing age optimization support targeting sex and stress hormone balance while targeting AMPK, sirtuins, and telomeres – our foundational longevity mechanisms in the body." There is also a page dedicated to the research that went into LE and numerous articles. It is obvious to me that this is a quality product that a lot of care and research went into. If I had the money, I'd probably make this a regular addition to my supplement regime. I'm fairly confident that over time I'd reap additional, ongoing benefits. As it stands, repeat purchases of LE are not in my current budget. ~ Kort

Great Elixir Fusing Western Science and Eastern Herbs
This Elixir of longevity is thoughtfully crafted by a very knowledgeable person or team seemingly well versed in science and TCM (traditional Chinese Medicine). The product appears to be a wish list dream formula of all the best cutting edge ingredients for life extension and anti-aging. It is a high priced item, but with good reason; the ingredients themselves are all very expensive if bought separately. I don't see low wage earners flocking to spend a day or more of income on this product, but more affluent people may find Quicksilver to be a very worthwhile addition to their health regimens. For the price of a good dinner for one or two at a fine restaurant, this product may support extended life, keep debilitating degeneration at bay, and support recovery from disease. After researching the ingredients, it seems to me the major long term strategy is to preserve telomeres which are involved in cellular division and shorten with each division until eventually cells can no longer divide and then die. When cells can no longer divide, the tissues composed of them degenerate and die. Virtually all of a person's tissues are completely renewed by new cells on a regular basis, other than perhaps, some nerve cells. As a person ages, they go through more and more cell divisions to regenerate tissues, and the telomeres get shorter and shorter putting an expiration timer on life. Scientists have been busy for decades researching ways to preserve telomeres as one of the most promising avenues for radically extending life. Astragaloside IV, and Cycloastragenol extract seem to be the primary ingredients for preserving the telomeres. Pregnenolone is a precursor for many hormones and has neuro-protective effects including supporting mylenization. This supports cognitive function, brain health, and overall nervous system integrity. He Shou Wu is an herb used in traditional Chinese medicine to support healthy aging, longevity, and virility. Zhi Gan Cao has many uses. It is used in TCM to synergize with other herbs, tonify the spleen, support the lungs, and strengthen chi. GS15-4 Fermented Korean Panax Ginseng extract is an extremely powerful adaptogen supporting the body's ability to overcome stresses of many kinds. Panax Notoginseng root has been prized for thousands of years and is used in TCM to control bleeding in various parts of the body. It's also used to support lower blood pressure and support blood flow to the coronary arteries. Ashwagandha root is well revered for promoting calmness over anxiety, but it has many other reputed effects such as boosting testosterone and fertility in men and increasing muscle mass. It also supports lowering cholesterol. American Ginseng is used to support overcoming ED, brain function, immunity, and to boost energy. It is worth noting the TCM aspects cannot be adequately explained from a western medical or science perspective. TCM theory-philosophy is far different than western thought, but no less sophisticated. TCM is thousands of years old and is often more successful at suppporting healing of maladies, especially the chronic kind, than western medicine. Descriptions of ingredients, their metabolism, and biochemistry may at times coincide with TCM uses, but are totally independent of TCM thought. In short, without extensive experience in TCM, it is not possible to appreciate the full rich tapestry that may be woven into Quicksilver's use of herbs. I have definitely felt amped up, energized, and ready to take on the world since the short time ago that I began taking this tonic. I have also been using other supplements whose effects I can't rule out. But I'm optimistic about Quicksilver and believe it's contribution to my newfound vitality is probably very significant. I believe it is a very high quality product worthy of its price. I'm hoping it is the elixir that will transform my life. I give it an enthusiastic five star, "Try It," to those who can afford it!

Pricey
I got it out of curiosity and waited until I had used the entire bottle before reviewing it. I don't feel especially energized any more than I would with a much less expensive formulation of ginseng, ashwagandha, and astragalus, although I will admit taking it is liquid form probably adds to potency. It does have an interesting mouthfeel as you hold it for the recommended 30 seconds or longer. I can taste the herbs but they are tempered and somewhat overwhelmed by the honey-licorice. Frankly, I don't care for the flavor. I think I can do better with a liquid mixture of Ginseng, Ashwagandha, Maca, Jiao Gu Lan, and Shilajit that is considerably less expensive and probably equally efficacious... Of course, that's hard to know without conducting a study but that's my initial reaction.
