For some reason my six-year-old granddaughter has wanted a chia pet for over a year now. This one was perfect for her and we've had a lot of fun with it. Great gift!

Cute product. Chia seeds didn’t stay on the head very well

Cute clay figurine but plant part looks nothing like picture on box. Top of head not growing anything, and base is sparse. We'll keep trying though because it's fun!

This is my first chia pet. Well technically I bought it for my daughter but I'll be honest I was equally excited about it ;) I love it.

I am not sure how this product got past the stage of "as seen on tv" from the 70's to 80's. it should have phased off those infomercial back then. I always saw those commercials when I was young and thought it would be great for my 4year old.We followed the instruction with the perfect amount of water and time. The gel seeds kept sliding down. It took us awhile to have the seeds in place.Then it was growing. As we water it, the seeds that were stuck started sliding off. Soon it looks like Homer Simpson's father with only a few strands of hair per each square inch.Then after a week, mold started to form. Even though they give u more than enough seeds, we tossed it. Trust me, it will never look like the picture. Even Matt Daman from the movie THE MARTIAN can't get it to grow like the picture.SUMMARY, don't waste your money and time with this. It's better to get brine shrimp/sea monkey hatch from dry eggs and your child would love projects like that.

His nose is broken. We didn't notice it til we are adding the seeds on.

I ordered for my nephew and he thought this was great.

Never worked like photos show. Seeds barely grew! And I bought two different ones. Maybe different house temps makes a difference? Just didn't work for us so basically a messy project with little to show for it.
