The sockets had trouble holding the wiring. I used solid 14 gauge wire which should have held very well but didn't work consistently. I was able to find some that would hold but I was still disappointed that they didn't capture the wire more securely.

Cheap and they work. Converted old florescent fixtures to LED for less than the price of a new ballast.My only issue is that they are so cheap, the wire inserts did not always grab well- though my wire was fairly thin- a heavier gauge may work a bit better- but that's it- I went for the cheapest- and they work

Wires recommended where #18 this is what I used. Wire would catch in some tombstones but not all. Using them to jump from one to the other for retrofitting to LED lamps. Wound up throwing about half in the trash. POOR QUALITY!!

I was changing a number of light fittings over to LED tubes as my old 40 watt T12 fittings were old, expensive to run and the ballasts were failing. Compared with the cost of replacing ballasts and bulbs with 32 watt fluorescents, the move to LEDs was a no brainer. I started off by opening up the tombstones to extract the old wiring and take out the shunts, but managed to break a fair number in the process. These are a much better idea - a lot less swearing and avoids jamming a screwdriver into my hand!
