I had a few pieces of very shiny brass that I wanted to dull down somewhat and this product did a great job. It worked as advertised and was simple to use.

I’ve used this solution several times to quickly age brass. Works very well, you just have to time the soak to get the desired color.

Use brass black or something else. The product takes hours to barely effectThe color of the brass. I was excited for this item after seeing a YouTube video with it.The brass is yellow brass, sand casted, no protective coat. (I did the sand casting) the product doesn’t react and is odorless, I think it’s water with blue dye…

I use this product fairly often. I own an Antiques and Interiors Shop and occasionally I will find a great piece of furniture that is missing a handle or knob etc. This product is perfect for tarnishing the replacement handle and gives the appearance of the already existing hardware. Works great, quickly and do not have to use much to get the job done.

We had hardware from a dresser that someone cleaned to a bright and shiny piece that was gold in color. I had a feeling this was brass but wasnt sure and bought this product in hopes it would age it back to its prior look. Essentially, I was looking for a way to make this cleaned piece back to old and rustic to blend in with the rest. It worked in 2 minutes. In fact, you cant tell which handle was the one I tried reverting back to its older version.Spoiler Alert: top left

I was kind of skeptical about getting this because the reviews were kind of 50/50. All I can say is that it worked great for me! I used it on lots of different brass guitar parts and it worked beautifully and VERY quickly. I even tried it on a part that I’m quite certain is just brass plated and not solid brass. It still worked.
