H68 - The Yolanda Kondonassis Collection (HARPE)

I bought this with Yolanda Kondonassis's other book "On Playing the Harp" as a special through Amazon.com -- get a special price for buying both. I got the books and opened this and just laughed -- this is NOT, I REPEAT NOT, a book for beginning harpists. Beautiful pieces, which my instructor can play, but I an only dream about at my current level. My recommendation is this: if you intend to seriously pursue the harp, then by all means, buy this wonderful book as something to aspire to. If you just want to plink out a melody line, don't get this one.

The copy was received in excellent shape. I'm an intermediate-level harpist and there are a number of wonderful pieces in this collection that suit my current skill level, and many more to aspire to.

Fantastic collection from the greatest of the great harpists. Beautiful pieces, great fingering, perfect arrangement. Love this book

If you love Yolanda's Cds, then this book is for you. Some of the songs (like Gymnopedie)are very easy, then there are some intermediate songs, with most of the songs being advanced.

It was a book required for harp instruction. You had it at a better price than the Website recommended by harp teacher.
