Don’t know how I cooked without it
I used my aunts once at thanksgiving to make the gravy. So I bought this one and I’m impressed. Upgrade from my aunts for sure. Silicone base and cap, and a metal strainer and a glass lid. This thing is perfect

I'm not disappointed
The weight of this item is deceptively light. Looks and feels like it might break easily, but I find it to be stronger than you might think. Does an excellent job separating broth from grease (so that my dog does not get all that unnecessary fat). Cleanup has also been quite easy. Wide enough for my hand to get into with a sponge. For the spout, just use a little dish wash detergent and a straw cleaner brush. Piece of cake.

Only works for large volume
Well made, easy to use, and also quite pretty. However, it does not work very well for small volumes. For example, if you have removed fat off a pot of soup and want to separate out stock that should go back in the pot, the volume of stock is too small to work well.

Tempered glass broth separator
This a really nice tempered glass broth separator that includes a strainer, lid, and spout stopper. The spout is long and allows the broth to be poured off without the fat.

Too big for normal joints of meat doesn’t seperate the fat
