Sterno Home GL33200 12V 200W Low Voltage Landscape Lighting Transformer with Dusk-to-Dawn Timer, 12V/200W, Grey

This is my third purchase of Sterno’s Low Voltage Transformers. Two of them are 2 years old and working fine. Easy menu to set up with lots of set up options. Most issues with a low voltage transformer is long runs with thin wire. It’s best to use 12 gauge all copper wite to help eliminate line loss. Also, do not overdrive your transformer with to many fixtures/watts. Keep your wattage demand at about 75% of the transformers wattage rating.

This review is posted after 3 months of use to the transformer. It was easy to install, configure and works without any issues. I'm only using less than 100W of load, but plan to add to it in the future. The weather proof enclosure does fade with direct UV sunlight exposure. Good transformer otherwise.

This thing is heavy and solid and comes out of the box programmed with the time set correctly (automatic) and dusk to dawn set as default mode. I used this and the recommended LED lights to replace our cheap solar powered ones. I highly recommend this and the wired lights over the solar crap out there.

Unit was easy to install, somewhat difficult to set timer, but in 1 month, LED display was intermittent and difficult to read, now after 4 months LED screen is completely non functional, can not tell what mode it is in or able to change timer settings... Unit is still providing power to lights but it is worthless if you can't control it. Company replaced my 1st transformer under warranty, but 2nd unit's LED display failed as well, I can't adjust on/off times as summer daylight times increase, do not place this item in direct sunlight, I feel this is what's killing the LED Display. NOT RECOMMENDED!

I have had this transformer for about 1-1/2 years, and it has worked very well. It was fairly easy to install. It turns our 9 LED lawn lights on at a set time and off at a later set time. It also responds reasonably well to turning on at dusk, but it is fooled by cloudy or dark days sometimes. The only thing I have had difficulty with is setting it using the astronomical clock so that it would turn on at sunset throughout the year. This is better than relying on the light sensor because of the afore mentioned issue with cloudy days, and was a feature of this transformer that I very much wanted (and it is advertised as having it). I have other astronomical timers for other systems in my house that program very well, but unfortunately I have not been able to get that function to work properly.in this transformer.

This unit replaced one that was about 15 years old! Hoping this one will last that long. Setup was very easy...connect the wires then set the time. I set the time manually instead of dusk to dawn, and it goes on and off right on schedule. The unit has been hooked up for about a month with no issues. Very pleased with the purchase. (So far seems to be weatherproof)

This 200W one is really a good one for land scaping lights. The sunrise setting is taking care very nicely. You can see how bright my hardscape bulbs are.

Appears to be a very robust product. I like the auto daylight function so I do not need to deal with a timer. Easy to install and works perfectly.
