Must read for any fan of Goethe. Unlike Shakespeare (or whoever was the author of those works with Shakespeare's name on them) with Goethe we know practically everything there is to know about the man. This should not be take for granted for even authors who came after Goethe were less disposed to share their personal lives as frankly as Goethe did. Here is his life, straight from the horse's mouth.
