A fun game

If you've played Smash Up, you know there are plenty of parodies in it (for example, the Grey Opal as a parody to the Black Pearl). Cease and Desist, however, has four FACTIONS that are parodies. See if you can tell what they're parodying from the descriptions I give: For over a thousand generations, the Astroknights were the guardians of peace and justice. Before the dark times. Before the Great Purge. Now they seek allies to defeat the evil king. At first glance, these minions don't look like much. But, as you'll soon find out, there's more to them than meets the eye. They are Changeable Robotic Organisms from the planet Bandai (but you can call them Changerbots for short). Now they're on a mission to find allies to help them confront their greatest enemy yet: Michael Bay. The king is dead...and he was a spoiled brat, so nobody cares. What they do care about is the spiked throne left vacant by the king's (cough) untimely demise. A family of Ignobles seeks allies to gain ultimate power. But be warned: they have warned you not to trust them. Space. The Last Wilderness. These are the voyages of the starship Undertaking. Her ongoing mission: to explore strange new bases, to seek out new life and new faction, and to boldly go where no minion has ever gone. I highly recommend this expansion.

Another great add-on to Smash Up! Especially fun if you're a big fan of any of the shows/books these parody! Adds in some new dynamics, like giving control of your cards to others to give yourself a benefit, or to force them to win a base that offers more points to the person who comes in second on it!

This expansion is so much fun! And who could say no to the bootleg Star Wars, Star Trek, Transformers, and Game of Thrones??

Some of the factions have interesting twists, while others bring great flexibility. All in all a worthy addition to the roster

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the factions in this one. But that's just my play style. If u like the game then u have to have all the expansions and this one is worth the money.

My favorite of the expansions so far. I enjoy 3 of the 4 factions greatly. Changebots being my last favorite butt there are not horrible. Ignobles are tricky but so fun to play. Great expansion overall.

All the decks are fantastic and you've probably read the reviews of them. What's not mentioned is the single best base in the game. "No Moon". When this base scores, you randomly roll one of the other bases it then targets. That base and all minions on it are destroyed! Genius. Guess which included deck that got inspired by?

It's Smash-Up, one of the best tabletop games out there to play with friends, great for beginners obviously and a fun time, this expansion as well as the others are of course worth it

Some of the best thematic mechanics are to be found in this deck! The Star Roamers have red shirts to take all the punishment and protect your best minions. The Ignobles pass around minions and force you to make deals that screw you in the end. The Changer bots have duality in abilities like transformation. The Astro Knights have a mixture of abilities and probably the best variety in any faction, heroism and action focused just like the movies! Some of the most consistent artwork and very varied cards and art styles. This was where we started with Smash Up expansions and we are definitely hooked now! The rules take a small step forward with this set but the mechanics don't jar with the initial game. Smash up is my favourite board game and its strongest feature is the variety so the more factions the better! Great Smash Up Mechanics. Charming art and really genuinely funny jokes!
