Well made, comfortable so far, arch support is acceptable but not great. Haven't had the opportunity to test in snow and ice. Am very hopeful that the tread will provide excellent traction. Somewhat difficult to get on and off. Not the kind of boot you want if you want to be able to easily slip in and out. Ordered my usual size and will work with a thin sock but probably not accommodate a heavy sock.

Just the look I was going for.. A little stiff at first so will require a little breaking in time, but that's the sign of a good quality boot. I typically wear between a 9-9.5. I bought these in a 9 and there is no extra room so if you're in a climate where you need to wear thick socks you may want to go up 1/2-1 size. On the other hand if regular socks will do you should be fine with your normal size and they should loosen up a little once broken in.

Bought the shoes in 8.5 for a winter trip becaused they've been reviewed for warmth, high level of snow protection, and non-skid. They don't look as bulky as I expected on. For now they are sitting in the box. Won't be able to give a helpful review until the winter.

The boots were a wee bit tighter than a normal size 39 and tried to return them but couldn'tfind help in returning them ... no contact information and Amazon wouldn't help me ...so I am not happy with purchasing expensive boots that I couldn't return ... I gotstuck with a terrible purchase .... Shame on Amazon and whoever mailed theseout .
