I have a Gevi nugget ice maker that worked well for about 3 weeks before it started giving me problems. Over time it got worse and worse until even after repeated cleanings and flushings it wouldn't make ice. Finally it started giving the 'needs water' error despite having a full reservoir.After another full tear down and thorough cleaning/flushing of all the tubing I discovered the pump couldn't even push water up into the top reservoir that supplies the ice forming section.I took a chance on this generic pump based on the other positive reviews for pump replacements in ice makers. The ice machine now works better than it did when new. Overall, it was an easy replacement. I snipped the existing wires at the motor and soldered them to the new one.

Replaced pump on GE Opal 2.0. Working great so far. No more "add water" error when water is present. Doesn't seem any louder than OE pump. Replacement was fairly simple with a soldering gun. Heated up old solder and pulled wires out of holes. Fed new wires through same holes and soldered in place. Indicators on bottom of motor match old motor so you know what wires go where. Several good Youtube videos on the topic if you have any questions.

Perfect replacement at a great price for my GE Opal icemaker; however, the pump only lasted about a year and a half before the internal rubber flaps degraded enough to keep the pump from working adequately.

3/15/22Just a quick update. Pump has been working great up until now. It is starting to make a lot of noise, so I’m buying two more to have spares on hand. I am beginning to think that hard water has a lot to do with these pumps going bad.I got this little pump and was happy to have found it for my Opal nugget ice maker. Long story short is that this is a perfect-fit replacement for the original pump, primes very fast, and had my ice machine up and running very quickly.Of course at this point I cannot attest to the durability of this little guy, but hopefully it will last as long as the original.All in all this really saved my ice maker, because Opal (actually made by First Build) does not support that ice maker at all. When I diagnosed the pump as faulty, instead of having a replacement, saying send the unit in, take it to whatever repair, here is a new pump, etc. they instead offered me 15% off a new ice maker. So at a price of $499 that makes this $19 pump worth $425!So if you have this problem with an Opal ice maker, have some mechanical and soldering capabilities, then buy this pump knowing it works. Other applications I’m sure will work as well, but can’t verify that personally.Good luck!

So I was having the issue that my icemaker would run for a minute then display the "Add Water" error. What was confusing was that the water would still cascade down the back like normal. If I covered the pump inlet, there was decent suction. The old pump seemed to be working. I took a gamble and tried this pump anyway and it worked like a charm. I'm back to making glorious nugget ice. I will note that you do need some soldering skills to install this pump properly. There are just metal terminals with holes in the middle of them on the pump. You might get by inserting the wire through the terminals and twisting tightly, but the old pump was soldered in, so I thought that was the right thing to do. Some heat shrink tubing would also be a good idea.

I originally purchased this pump planning to install in a Thereye nugget ice maker that was exhibiting pump issues. Before I got around to replacing it, the Thereye unit main seal started to leak (around 1yr old). Thankfully, Thereye stood by their product and fully refunded my purchase price the extended warranty I had purchased did not apply since it was technically still under the manufacturers warranty (Amazon DID refund the extended warranty price as the refund was handled thru Amazon)At any rate, we replaced the ice maker with an identically looking GE Opal V1B ice maker. Within a period of 5 months, 3 GE units units failed due to pump issues. FYI, I am running RO water ONLY tested to a TDS o around 10ppm, so the failures are NOT due to water issues. All 3 GE units failed at around the 2 month mark. We do use the machine 7X24. The 1st two were replaced by Geek Squad and the 3rd, I decided to bite the bullet and install the new pump I had on hand as clearly a new unit was going to fail due to the same cheap pump. It is a bit of a PITA to get the back and top cover off the ice maker, but all in all, not an overly difficult repair. New pump is rated slightly higher output than the original which should allow it to fill the internal reservoir faster and cycle with less on time and less wear and tear. New pump is slightly quieter than original as well. I have ordered another of these new pumps to have a spare on hand just in case the life span on this new pump proves no longer than the original design.

With months and months of frustration with my GE Opal 2.0 nugget ice maker, this little pumping thingy has brought my beautiful ice maker back to life!! This whole drama filled saga began when Don Julio (my ice machines name) started giving me add water errors!! Don wasn’t being a team player and wouldn’t make ice. After a little bit of trouble shooting and some internal surgery on Don Julio, i was thinking, “well maybe his heart (pump) isn’t pumping fast enough”. Mr Don did have water flowing with the old pump, but it was to slow to make ice, so the add water error would come one. However, once I replaced Mr Don’s pump he came back to life! Like a brand new machine! No more add water errors!In all seriousness, this really did fix my opal 2.0 add water errors. It wasn’t to difficult to install and took about 30 minutes.

With some minor modifications it fit my whirlpool water cooler/heater and works just as well as the original and very quiet.

I bought this to replace the water pump in my Keurig machine. A little bit of soldering and now my machine is fixed!

Needed this for my water dispenser. Used a zip tie to tighten the end that holds the hose and the pump works. Only issue I have is when the tank is empty it keeps running until the new bottle is attached but overall works

Smaller than original. Dimension Measurements would have been nice. Need to solder connection.

This is a very sturdy little pump. It just works well. I have tried many different micro pumps and others fail because of internal design issues. This pump has proved so reliable that I have bought two more. The thing to consider is that the pump motor does not shed heat easily especially at higher operating pressures. I have installed a fan from a computer to continuously cool the pump during operation. Providing a little airflow over the pump, cools it nicely and keeps it performing all day long.
