I really wanted to like this little saw.
I'm a big fan of the 10.8-volt Hitachi drill and impact driver. So, when I saw this little reciprocating saw, I wanted to add it to my 10.8-volt mini tool collection. This saw is seriouly not worth the money.I never expected hardcore performance from this saw, but that only adds further to my disappointment with it. I thought I would use it for smaller jobs, but this little saw struggles big time with even small cuts. There is another reviewer here on Amazon that claims to have used this saw to "cleave" a telephone pole. Mine won't even cut 3/4" tree limbs without bogging down. To compare, my old model Ryobi 18v recipricator saw (one of the old blue ones) chews through jobs this saw struggles with.Do yourself a favor and buy a bigger 18v saw. You'll be much happier. Even small jobs are too much for this little guy.

cant recommend this item
Underpowered trash right out of the box; Unusable with 10.8-V batteries.Plugged in 12v Peak batteries, and worked well, for a short time. I'd say 15 min. hard work before 12v peak batteries would be used up.Used it to cleave a telephone pole at one point; required 2 full 12v peak batteries, and about 25 min. The saw was HOT when finished. After maybe a year's worth of small odds and ends projects in the field(All 12v battery), the blade receiver broke off reciprocating arm.All and all, cant recommend this item, and wouldn't re-buy.

I love the saw but the battery charger (US10SFL) is junk
I love the saw but the battery charger (US10SFL) is junk. My original charger failed after about a dozen uses. Amazon sent a replacement, however, the charger on the replacement unit didn't work at all.
