Is the tension between the blades adjustable? Never show the right side?! Is there an adjustable nut or what? Some shears fail to adjust properly!!

Yes, there is a nut between the blades. I have never tried to adjust the blades with the nut but I suspect you can.

Will these cut thru fiberglass cast?

I don't know what fiberglass cast is, but these are extremely sharp and strong. If it's the fiberglass that I have on my gazebo to block the reason from coming thru the top, then yes they will cut thru it.
