I have used it with and without the mascara. My eyelashes naturally curve down and they are blonde so curling is a must. This does take a lot longer than an eyelash crimp style curler and having blonde eyelashes does make it go faster, but using mascara helps the most. For me using light mascara is the right balance for better curl and less clumping.

This does NOTHING to curl the lashes. Sent it back because it's useless.

I really wanted to like this heated curler. It works, it curls your lashes but it clumps them together so you end up with tarantula mascara.

It takes a long time for it to work, so l don’t think it’s worth the money. I don’t have a hour to spend in the morning.

1. Overall job is satisfactory.2. Silicone prevents it from burning you.3. Tines are too thick due to the silicone and do not separate my fine lashes very well, but it does ok.4. You cannot adjust the amount of time it stays in the on position. It will auto shut off after 5 minutes.5. It has multiple adustable levels of heat.6. USB charge is very good and quick.

It's very easy to hold and use, I doesn't burn your eyes or eyelashes and it does the job, it's better if you put mascara first and then start curling the eyelashes. I like that is small and I can put it in my makeup bag to in my purse.

Unfortunately this has not helped curl my lashes at all. It also doesn’t stay on long.
