Ghostek soDrop 2 Premium Wireless Headphones | Built-in Microphone & Controls | Black

First of all, I love these headphones. Originally, I would have rated these headphones with 5 stars. I love the materials, the sound quality and the appearance of them. I also love the logo of this company and it does look really awesome on the headphones. My issue is that after owning these headphones for a month, I was no longer able to use them in Bluetooth mode which is the main reason that I bought them. What happens in Bluetooth mode is that every now and then an extremely loud *BEEP will come in and it hurts my ears. It is much louder than the volume that is being put into the headphones. I tried using different devices to see if it was maybe just my computer but it was still happening. I should have written this review when this started happening (almost a year ago) but I totally forgot. Anyway, I use them plugged in at all times now which is lame considering I spent 80 dollars on what I thought would be great BT headphones. On a positive note, they do sound great and feel awesome, I just wish the Bluetooth worked without that random beeping noise. I am not sure if this is a common issue. I will absolutely change my review if there is any possible remedy to this situation. I really want these to work!*** UPDATE July 3, 2019 ***I have not heard a peep from this company regarding this issue and it has been well over 8 months. If I ever hear anything from them, I will let you all know. Until then, do not waste your time on a company that does not care about quality control. Are you seeing this Ghostek? Do you care?

When I originally bought this, I had in mind that this would be a good mid-range substitute, stepping stone, to the wireless Bose headphones that I wanted but wasn't ready to pay for yet. My old headphones had finally kicked the bucket so I decided to go with Ghostek after a ton of research. I have had these headphones for 6 months now and not only has it been flawless, it has blown my expectations away. I use it everyday and I take it everywhere.I have not had any external comprises in regards to the overall build quality of these headphones (ie. the cushions coming off, or the headband breaking or buttons breaking). I have had these headphones for 6 months and it works and looks just like the day I unboxed them. They are extremely sturdy; needless to say I have dropped them by accident here and there and my heart does stop a little thinking "this is it for these headphones, it will either not work now or have all kinds of rattling inside". Nope, they worked just fine after picking them up. No rattling, no signs that something came loose.Pros-Personal taste but I think these headphones look great. They are clean and sleek, easy to use, low profile and very sturdy.-These headphones are very comfortable to me. The cushions have nice soft padding. At 6 months I have noticed that the padding has compressed a little from the constant use but still plenty of padding left and still very comfortable.-The headband is adjustable and so are the ear cups. The ear cups can be moved slightly to different angles to better fit your head and ears-The sound quality is my highlight for these headphones. It is also very very good for the price. It has great bass, sound is clear. I have to note that I have seen some people complain about crackling and static. Honestly when I first tried these on, I had a similar experience but realized that the occasional static sound and stutters was the quality of the device and connection that these headsets were paired to. To test this, Ipaired it to my PC that has much better performance and internet connection. After that the sound was flawless and the static and stuttering went away. In addition, stream quality also varies. I get a lot of stuttering and crackling when I stream lower quality YouTube songs or from certain music apps. Playing music from Spotify, or iTunes where the stream quality or download quality is set at max also yields no static or crackling sounds.-I love the hard case that it came with, the case itself is also very well built-The headband is tight. It holds onto your head very well. I have used headphones before where they were so loose, a quick turn of the head or a jump and they come flying off. This Ghostek headphone stays on just fine. Usually at the 1 or 2 hour mark though I do adjust them because the band can get a little tight and start to discomfort my ears.-Great battery life as advertised.-Solid connectivity, never had a problem connecting to any device. It gets discovered and paired pretty quickly with every device that I have used it onCons-None that I have found although I wish the power on/off was a switch function rather than a hold down button function. I have had times where my backpack or something else would compress the headset case and it would push against my headphones inside and it would turn the headphones on and kill the battery overtime without me realizing it. Really small issue and easily fixable (get bigger case, or just not stuff it in a backpack =p ) but it has been the only problem I have had with these headphones.

Quality of sound is Great!!! Wish I had got Noise canceling though. Construction looks great but is actually poor when it comes to the hinges. I have only used these head phones 6-10 times and the hinge on the communication side broke completely apart and is unrepairable so I had to return them. Just so you are aware I keep them in the protective case at all times even when charging. This could have been just a defective pair but Here's the review of the product I received.

These headphones are fantastic! I was thinking about buying Beats and I didn’t want to spend over $200 on headphones because that seemed ridiculous to me. After spending two weeks reviewing different brands, I settled on these. The color is amazing and sound is very clear. I travel a lot and having a decent pair of headphones for the plane is critical. I’ve had them for a few months, so I definitely tried them a lot before making this review. A few of my thoughts:1. Battery life is really good. I can usually go at least a day or two of full listening without charging2. Sound is very clear.3. I could still hear perfectly on the plane. They drown out noise extremely well.4. They can still be used while charging.5. Very comfortable for prolonged wear.6. Comes with a carrying case and they do fold up.7. They do well if you are a runner. I occasionally work out at the gym and they stayed on my head very nicely when I was on the treadmill and stair climber.My one and only issue is that they do have to be paired every time you turn them on. The instruction booklet wasn’t fantastic, so all you have to do is press and hold the Power button until it flashes red and green. Then pair it via Bluetooth settings.Overall, these are a great pair of headphones!(I have pink hair, which is why the ear part is slightly pink.)
