Caseology Vault Compatible with Google Pixel 5a Case 5G (2021) - Urban Gray

Grip and drop protection are the two most important features in a phone case for me. I ordered two Caseology cases, plus three from another brand, for my Google Pixel 5A 5G. This Caseology Vault came in second for grippiness, but it was a distant second to the Caseology Legion which has much more aggressive grip. The other brand's three cases had worse grip than this one.

I'm thoroughly impressed with this case! As someone who was looking for a replacement for Google's usual fabric case that didn't come with this generation, I was hesitant to try a plastic case. After blowing through three of a certain brand's attempt at a fabric case within months, sometimes days, I was a lil' desperate to find a sturdier alternative.Oh my gosh, I was not expecting this case to feel so nice!! The back texture is surprisingly subtle, but grippy! The sides too almost have a soft feel to them? Wonderful matte finish all around, and whoever designed this knows what they're doing when it comes to balancing looks and feel!!I have both a Pixel 5A and a Pixel 3XL, and if you're like me and had the Google fabric case on your 3xl, this feels SHOCKINGLY similar in the hand! (So much so that it was a bit hard to tell which was which just by feel alone.)I'll just say, I'm a big fan. Feels sturdy, feels comfortable, the transition between case and fingerprint reader is smooth as heck, just an overall well-designed case!!

The Caseology Vault is a great case if you prefer a slim case that adds very little bulk to your phone. If you hadle your phone like a Gorilla then no this case is not for you. The case has minimalist looks with a few colors to choose from which is purely a matter of your preference. It has great texture which makes it very easy to hold with no slipping out of your hands or pocket. The fit and cut outs are exact and raised edges protect the screen and cameras. It will protect your phone from wear and light drops. This is my go to case from Caseology. I also use their Parallax case for times when I need more protection. Finally, the price is great for the Vault case and I do recommend you give it a try if it fits your needs!

The case is a sort of slightly dark concrete gray - I thought the pics on the listing were a little darker than what it showed up as, but I really love it.The back of the case below the camera is lightly textured. It feels and looks like a plastic leather grain, it's not soft like leather (obviously) but it's very comfortable to hold and doesn't slide around on my desk. The edges of the phone have a more rubberized plastic that is a little more grippy - it's not tacky or sticky feeling, it just tends to resist sliding or slipping out of my hands, but doesn't affect it going in/out of my pockets.Pressing the buttons covers feel almost exactly like the buttons on the phone - there's just the right amount of resistance to them without being stiff and clicky. The cutouts for the various ports and holes fit the 5A 5G perfectly. The case clearly isn't as protective as the bigger, bulkier 2-piece designs by OtterBox and the like, but I'm not going to stress about the inevitable short drops to carpet off my couch or the occasional slip onto hard floors.It's an excellent case all around, and I'm very happy with it! I wasn't familiar with Caseology when I bought it but I was really surprised with the quality in materials and fit given their prices. Would absolutely recommend this!

The case color does match the phone almost exactly. The slight texture to the case is great for grip, but no so much that it's difficult to put in/take out of pockets. The fingerprint hole does a great job directing your finger to the fingerprint sensor. The bottom charge port could be slightly larger. I have one USB-C cable that just barely fits and sometimes takes a bit of fiddling to get it all the way in. My only real complaint is that the very rounded sides make the phone overall just a bit too wide to hold comfortably in my hands. The phone was already pushing my limit without the case, but I think they could have flattened out the sides a bit to shave a bit of width off.

First of all, a big applause to Amazon for delivering the item two days before the estimated delivery date. Secondly, this case looks much better in real life than in pictures. It's a perfect fit for my Pixel 5a and it feels good in hand. I like that it's textured on the sides and the back, so it is not slippery as my previous case was. It has just arrived today, so I cannot really comment on durability, but it will most probably outlast my previous case of another brand. I also think the price is reasonable considering the crazy prices in the US market. It's also worth noting that the case is made in South Korea.

Bought the Google-brand case with the phone, 6 months later the rubber has delaminated from the hard plastic, and after removing the case I found that it had gathered and trapped grit against the phone, which ended up gouging the phone's plastic back.That case is in the trash now, and this Caseology case seems to be an excellent replacement. Snug fit, solid feel, texture is tactile but not aggressive, fingerprint hole is nicely sized and beveled. Not sure about the impact resistance, the plan is still to not drop the phone. It keeps the glass off surfaces, which is my main concern.

I paired this with a super shieldz screen protector for my pixel 5a and it's holding up pretty good so far 👍 also nice and thin, not overly bulky.

En general es un muy buen telefono, claro es un pyxel, lo único mala que he encontrado y que ha sido un fastidio es su malísima antena, he tenido teléfonos de gama media baja y no tienen una tan mala recepción de señal como este.

Although the material might not be the best feeling out there, it's an extremely reliable and sturdy case. Saved my phone from serious falls countless times, and still has no permanent markings or aesthetic problems.

Quedo perfecto en mi Pixel 5a cubre muy bien los bordes y me gustó mucho la textura, si tienes manos de mantequilla como en mi caso será de mucha ayuda para el agarre.

It protects my phone from mostly everything.Great QualitySoft And Smooth FinishedBut, if you use a tempered glass, this case will touch the edge of the glass which can cause bubble on the side of the glass.I end up using Softer tempered protector and have no problem anymore.

There are sharp edges where case meets the screen and case is too tight. Taking it off for cleaning purposes is a project. I'm afraid taking the case off frequently might damage the phone. Want to return it but return window is now closed.
