I loved this light strip at first. It can change different shades of white light so you can have warm or cool white. I attached it to the inside of ceiling fluorescent fixtures so I could have a dimmer light for nighttime. It worked really well at first but then began having trouble staying connected. "Den RGB isnt reaponding. Please check its connection and power supply" i have to unplug this thing multiple times a day every single day. I have even unpaired and repaired it with both the tuya app and alexa. After going back and reading other reviews, I found another reviewer that says that the Wi-Fi antenna is facing backwards so if you mount the controller against the wall or the ceiling the antenna is actually facing the wall or the ceiling which does nobody any good when trying to keep connected to Wi-Fi. My last option is to buy a zigbee controller to pair with this light strip because the light strip itself is pretty decent but the controller sucks and I would not recommend anybody else purchase this product unless you are willing to unplug your device multiple times a day when it inevitably stops responding. This device is one of the reasons that I thought Smart home devices sucked when in reality it's just the device itself that sucks because it was not made by anybody that knows what they are doing.

I returned the first set of lights. All I wanted was white strip lights at the right K temp. (color of white). This offered a dimmer and your choice of temp color. I bought and mounted an on/off remote inside a cabinet door in the closet. SO happy. I'd buy this again.

I've had quite a journey with these lights. I mounted them along the edge of my bedroom and I think they look amazing. However, the controller is horrible.First of all, everyone is right about the high pitched ringing. It comes from the inductor inside the controller which steps the voltage down from 24v to 3.3v for the microcontroller.Second, the connectivity is HORRIBLE. It never stays connected in the Tuya app. I decided to break open the controller and take a look. I found that they mounted the antenna right on top of a 3.3v power supply trace, which could absolutely cause interference in the antenna. Not only this, but when the controller is mounted on the wall, the antenna faces the wall and it can be difficult for signals to reach the antenna. They could have placed the antenna in the large empty area at the top of the device, but they really chose the worst orientation they could.If you need a quick fix at home, I suggest placing the controller not up against the wall, but rather have it more out in the open in some way. The back side of the controller should be as exposed as possible for the best reception. I know that sucks.I personally decided to use Tasmota to flash an ESP8266, replacing the WB3S Tuya ESP clone. It worked extremely well, and the software is much much better, but I still had reception problems. I took the chip back off and placed it such that the antenna was facing the front of the device, away from any PCB traces. Now I get extremely fast speeds and high connectivity even when the device is flat against the wall.So, in summary, the LEDs themselves are perfect. The controller is a piece of garbage and was clearly not designed by professionals. However, if you can replace the controller or its internals with something better, then this is a great buy.

Tried every way possible to connect to app to use with alexa but it won't work. Everything else works well, I even cut and used connecters, still works. It does have a low ringing on the remote but I can't hear it where I have it positioned. If you want these lights to work with alexa make sure you can connect to the app before you cut anything so you can return them if it doesn't connect.
