Back to Amazon shopping for a new grinder and I thought I'd stop off here and leave my opinion about this 9 to 5 grinder.First of all, they headline this grinder as 2.5 inches. However, I'm sitting here with the tape measure in my hand and it is clearly closer to 2 3/16" in diameter. I wasn't really thinking about it when I bought it but when it arrived I noticed how much smaller it was. Went back and looked at the Amazon page and confirmed that it says 2.5" in the ad. The spec they are giving however, is the top to bottom measurement. This is totally deceptive since all of the other grinders advertised on Amazon list the diameter of the grinder. This alone makes me feel duped. The height of this grinder is meaningless since it's not big enough to grind more than one or two small nugs at a time.The size of this grinder also affects the ease of use. It just doesn't have the torque to grind really tight resinous buds. My old Vintage Crush grinder, which is a true 2½" goes through them like butter. The 9 to 5 grinder is a struggle to get the top on and then hard to twist. Once one gets all the goods do get ground up, you can look forward to waking up the family dog with the squeaking threads on the storage section. Yes, I've cleaned the threads with a Q-tip and a small brush...I don't feel like you should have to do routine maintenance on a bud grinder.So, now I'm looking for another grinder. I'm so upset that I wasted 30 bucks on this one. I can only guess that the maker of this grinder has a lot of friends and relatives to explain all the 5 star reviews. ;-)

So this grinder it's self is spectacular, but my main reason to write this review is to explain how wonderful the 9to5 Grinder company's customer service is. I sent a message at about 11:20 pm about the pollen sifting screen missing from my grinder, not that big of a deal, about 3 hours later I received a message from Craig Allen telling me that this shouldn't have happened and they will be sending me a new sifting screen tomorrow. That's is worthy of 5 stars. Not only a wonderful product but the company cares and has the fastest customer service I've had the pleasure to deal with. Thank you so much Craig and thank you 9to5 Grinders. keep it up

This is the best grinder, hands down. It’s like a chromium crusher, and a zip grinder had a baby with a removable/replaceable screen. The curved sides in the collection jar, and the tapered lip on the inside make it really easy to get your ground herb out. The threads are very solid feeling when your screwing the pieces together/apart and they catch very rarely. The grinding teeth are sharp, and efficient. The added large notch holes make the ground herb drop down much faster so you aren’t pulverizing it, killing the potency. I’d give this a 10/5 rating if I could. Tried to show the interior slop and thickness of the acrylic. Really impressed.

Trash,absolute trash. I understand this is a subjective item,what I dont like might be perfect for someone else but my gosh this grinder is pitiful! In theory having the screen separate seems very clever but unfortunately herb gets stuck in every single nook and cranny so you end up having like a blunts worth of herb just hiding in places. Another criticism I did not like the size that it grinds- too big, and I've had Chinatown grinders that crushed faster than this. So disappointed especially since I spent $30! I've only ever spent $10 and had far more efficient grinders 💀😨😠

I've been using this for a few weeks now. My major issue is how big some of the holes in the top are.Def does not collect a lot of kief. I've been a loyal chromium crusher, and kief collector, and this IS NOT the guy.The teeth are nice and sharp, and I like the clear jar chamber, but def needs some modifications for the $.

UPDATE: 1 year later and this is still my favorite grinder, by far! I've since learned you can remove the clear level (if you want) and the screen above the keef collector level. It still looks brand new, it still grinds as good as new, and I get compliments a lot! I've included a picture this time, because I have dropped this thing a million times and no sign of scratches or wear!! 🤯So, I was hesitant to buy. I saw one in a local head shop and it was $80. Man was I pleasantly surprised when I got this bad boy in the mail! I am so clumsy and no stranger to dropping my grinder. We threw this thing at the ground and it didn't open! I can easily fit a quarter in this and it grinds to a perfect size! The keef (spelling?) does not accumulate as much as other grinders, however the stuff it saves is the best of the best.... I'm talking gold dust. I have been recommending this to everyone!!

I found this grinder after my last grinder tragically broke, so I set out to find the perfect grinder that would last through everything.. and honestly I am not sure what to say about 9to5 grinders. To say this grinder exceeded every single one of my desires that I could ever want out of a grinder would be a complete and utter understatement.. Words can never come close to being able to accurately describe how absolutely amazing this grinder is! 9to5 Grinders deserves a round of applause on how brilliantly and expertly crafted/engineered this grinder is. They thought of literally everything when they designed this smooth operating grinder. The clear window allows me to see when I am almost out of perfectly ground herb. However, I have not even come close to smoking all the herb that can be held in this grinder. I swear I came close to grinding 1/4 of my ounce and stored it in the huge center of the container. Additionally I have more keif in 2days of using this grinder than I collected in a month or more with my last grinder. I told all of my friends about this grinder and my family. Several of them have also already purchased this same grinder in black (I chose gunmetal) and even one in rose gold! If you want a reliable grinder that will last forever, store a lot of herb, and collect more keif than you can imagine; then look no further! THIS is the grinder you have been waiting for!
