Best Gadget EVER
I bought this because I lost my keys over the holidays. I kept thinking they would turn up, because I felt that they were in the house, but they never did. So we paid over $150 to get our locks changed. Still no keys. No matter how hard I try, I lose things. I knew I had to find something to help. I did a lot of research and decided on the FOFA product line. One of the main reasons I liked these was the fact that there was no base unit. Any unit could find the others. I did an overnight order through Amazon for the first set, which was this one, and I had another coming 2 day delivery. One of the ones in the first set did not work properly and once the others arrived, I could pinpoint which one. I called the company directly, and they were very courteous and sent one out to me right away. I then ordered another set, because I'm pretty addicted at this point to how much safer I feel with these things. The kids visited tonight and suggested I get them for the television remotes. I might do that. I love both sizes and think they have value. I use the card in my wallet and like it. But for the most part, I do think the other one would be useful in many situations. It's thicker, but smaller over all. Again, they both serve their purpose depending on what you need. I would definitely purchase these again. If this product had been on my keys, I would be $150 (which didn't even cover the cost of my car FOB which could have been up to $200) richer right now. the $150 was just to rekey our house locks. Honestly, if you have a tendency to lose things, you cannot afford to not purchase these.I do not work for this company, nor do I know anyone in it. The longest conversation that I have had with them took about 2 minutes when I called about the one that didn't work, which they promptly sent a replacement for, and I understand that kind of thing happens every once in a while. All of the others that I ordered (5) worked fine. I say this because I always worry about some of the reviews here being questionable since I wrote a bad review once and got ganged up on with people defending the item. Seriously...who has time to do that...unless you are really an owner of the company or a friend of the company??? It made me question the integrity of people offering reviews.I can easily hear this around the house when I test it. As a matter of fact, I keep my phone on low and lost it one day and called it but couldn't find it. I used one of my trusty FOFO products and found it just like that. It was louder than my cell phone on low. I am honestly addicted to them. I have one on my keys, my wallet, and my cell phone, plus a "master" in my vehicle and a "master" in my home. I'm taking no chances.I haven't tried them outside yet. If I do and find issues, I will be sure to come back and add a comment to this.I would definitely buy this again and probably will buy more. It's a great product!

Super product
This is just what I needed! I only wish I had it 10 years ago. I keep loosing my keeps and I misplace my wallet all the time. This unit has already saved me from endless searching in just the first week I had it. I LOVE it.There are a number of these type systems out there, but what I liked about this was that there wasn't a need a dedicated transmitter. And I really like the ability to have 6 different numbered receivers AND the fact that you can split the numbers in a two-digit sequence, that is, you can have one numbered #1 in each 6 different sequences. This allows you to assign up to 6 receivers for up to 6 people, or 6 different types of items, etc. All told, you can have 36 different numbered receivers. Its fantastic. There is only one thing I don't like - the wallet version is too thick - it makes my wallet nearly unfoldable. But still, its worth it so I put up with it. I HAVE to have a wallet credit-card sized receiver. If they didn't offer this I wouldn't have purchased this system. As to performance, the tone of the receiver is high enough that its difficult to ascertain where the sound is coming from even if you can clearly hear it. For example, it took me a half dozen tries on time to determine that my keys were in my pocket! I knew it was very hear, but I couldn't find it! The only hint was that if I sat down, the sound got really muffled. One time I lost my keys on the way to return to my home. Luckily I had a spare set of keys. I searched in car, driveway, and adjoining lawn, but nothing was heard. I entered the house and searched, and nothing. So I thought I had lost them at the last store I was at.I then returned to my bedroom to make a call to the store, and I continued to transmit while I walked through the house. I heard the sound coming from my bedroom - I had left the keys behind when I left. My brother came over to drive me with him so that's why I didn't need the keys to leave.I was disappointed that I couldn't transmit to the keys when I entered the house - it wasn't that far. I retraced my steps from the outer door and determined that just 10 paces up to the kitchen was all I needed - then I could clearly hear the key's receiver. Its not just distance, its what walls and items are between you and the receiver. So as an improvement, I guess I'd like a thinner wallet receiver and a little better range. Also perhaps a different tone - one that's easier for ones ears and brains to determine the direction the sound is coming from. There is one competitor that's close in features, but not quite. And they require a dedicated transmitter, but the cost is about half as much. So if price is more important than the features, you can find that here on Amazon.Overall, I'm very pleased and VERY happy that I have this product.
