Professional's Choice
This is great! It's machined really well and is definitely a professional's piece of gear. I use it to attach my Atomos Shogun to my cage, via a magic arm. It makes attaching and removing the monitor a breeze - it used to be an awkward screw-in procedure that was risky for the monitor and time consuming. The locking mechanism on this is super solid, and both sides bolt in to their respective mounts very well. In the photo here you can see it on the left at the base of the magic arm. Highly recommended!

Works great
I needed some way to make an easily detachable flash mount for frequent off-camera use after my Sunpak mount wore out. I figured this item would be relatively easy to adapt and decided to give it a try. I was able to cut the end off the Sunpak mounting plate and bolt the Neewer base to it, then attached the other piece to a short section of PVC to duplicate the post for the Sunpak. The Neewer quick release has worked out well, and while it's not as easy to operate as the simple push-button release on the Sunpak, I don't have to worry about it suddenly dropping or rotating. The only thing I would like is to have the release lever spring-loaded to stay in the locked position.

Awesome product.
Very sturdy. Use this as a quick release for an a6500 camera and a mini tripod. It's all metal, and secures very well, I have no worries about it coming lose or falling off. I prefer this one over other quick release plates as it is much smaller then other quick release plates on the market. Will be purchasing more in the future for my other video devices.

Pleasantly surprised!
I thought for sure these were gonna wiggle and wobble and not be good. BUT to my surprise they seem solid! I have 2 and I'm using it to hold a 5 inch monitor on top of my camera and then quick release off to go onto a gimbal works great!

Heavy Duty
Super secure and made for heavy duty work.

Cheap, not for professionals. Better options out there for the money.
I own many of these type of plates but this brand feels very cheap compared to the more popular smallrig or kondor blue quick release systems I own. This also comes with a rubber ring that is glued onto the plates which I hate because it adds play and wiggle to certain surfaces or monitors I may mount it to. Better options out there.

Good build, but it's designed upside down? . Better for use on cage systems for accessories.
Only when I actually went to use these on top of a monopod, did I realize that these, and others like this one, are designed upside down for some reason. You think the smaller plate would slide into the larger plate that latches closed and holds it tight. And this smaller plate would be attached to your camera, light, whatever. And the bigger base plate with the lever attaches to your stand, monopod, main gear item, etc. But no, it's completely the opposite. The base plate does NOT have a 1/4-20 threaded hold for the tripod to screw into. Only the small pate does... in addition to another threaded screw to screw into something else. The pad for that actually lifts up the front part of the "base" from sitting flat on your tripod. So it sits at an angle, unless you remove the pad and the screw. Then it'll sit flat. The actual base of the quick-release pate system, with the lever to secure it, has to attach to the removable part of your setup because it has no 1/4-20 threaded hole, only a threaded screw, to go into something else. Like the bottom of my camera. But then, the UNFINISHED bottom part of the base plate is now facing up, and is exposed. Which just looks bad. Like I didn't know which part was supposed to go where, except, you simply can't use the pieces in reverse because the base plate simply lacks a threaded hole for a tripod, monopod, etc, to screw into. Now, for use on a cage, where you need to screw BOTH ends into other things, then you can reverse this quick release plate. You can screw the base into a camera cage, and screw the release plate into your smaller item. That makes sense. But if you aren't using a camera cage, and want to use this on a tripod, or monopod, it gets a lot wonkier. All that said, the fit and finish is very good. It feels solid in place, and the latch arm is tight so it doesn't feel like it'll swing open accidentally or if accidentally brushed. How well that holds up over time, I do not know. There is no button to release it, it's just a tight fitting with lots of friction to move, and that's all that holds the locking arm in place to hold the removable plate in the "base".

The release lever needs a lock release, a cable brushed across the latch and it opened up.
Add a lock release and it would be perfect!

Buena compra.

Quite good for the price!
Maybe not as solid and durable metal as other, more expensive brands (like Cinelock 16x9), but I bought 4 of these for the and price of one of theirs... They work great!

Well made
So far works a treat. I use these along with the Neewer 3 Pieces 1/4 inch Screw Tripod Mini Ball Head with Lock and Hot Shoe Adapter for LED Light,Monitor,DSLR Cameras,Video and Camcorders to attach my Godox AD200 lights to my light stands. They are very solid and well made. Makes taking the lights off an on the stand a breeze.
