Does this work with Scumptoid Hosicus flies or are they too big?

Hello... I'm not familiar with those kind of flies but I have a few rather large flies that have been caught on these traps... They are very sticky so I'd say yes I would think so...

Will these be effective for my Japanese maple I have potted?

I have used them for different potted plants so I think they should work for the Japanese maple. You may need to use more than one depending on the size of the maple.

Can you still mist/spray your plants. or will the moisture render then inafective !

I reckon you could still spray them and the yellow sticky traps would still work. They are very sticky and I’ve trapped loads of fungus gnats which is very satisfying
