Much better than the ratcheting type crimper. Precisely machined dies gives a nicely formed crimp. Needs two hands to make crimps with larger size lugs. Good performance fo the price.

If I was a professional electrician doing this for a living I would not recommend these. With that said for somebody who makes a few crimps a year or is doing a large solar system you can't go wrong. Plenty of YouTube videos on these if you'd like to see them in action.I personally depend very heavily on reviews that are posted on Amazon, as do many other consumers. I not only read what reviewers say, but look to see what their pictures reveal about a products true quality and description.
