I use it almost daily, it lasts that well.I've used setting sprays from before they were a thing. Back then, I used hairspray to 'fix' my makeup which worked well suprisingly.Over the years I've tried many brands - unique expensive stuff from trips to France, to chain store cheaper offerings.This is a fantastic matt spray that sets clear with a slight glisten within 3 minutes. The pump's nozzle sprays a mostly fine mist. They recommend 3 to 5 pumps from 15cm away.A lovely subtle scent too, very faint and not overpowering.It dries very rapidly and does not make the skin feel tight or dry, having delicate skin that diesnt take kindly to fragranced lotions, I found that I've suffered no ill-effacts from using this almost daily for over two years. My complexion is still clear and blemish-free with my facial routines, using mostly natural oils as moisturisers before sleeping.Important to note, especially in these bitterly cold months, I've found this quite hydrating on sensitive and dry skin, I spend a portion of my day out tending to our small flock of backyard chickens, it works in keeping my skin from cracking so well, that I now use it routinely and intentionally before I tend to our pets.Having tested this matt setting spray in hotter climates, I can say that it has worked remarkably well in keeping my prepared face where it should be...and not running down my neck!It's now my dirty little secret to keeping a fresh, dewy and hydrated look.5 stars"},{"@type":"Review","reviewRating":{"@type":"Rating","ratingValue":"4.0"},"author":{"@type":"Person","name":"S***T"},"datePublished":"5 December 2021","name":"Natural finish shield for your makeup","reviewBody":"This is a perfectly good setting spray, I already use the \"Nyx Professional Matte Finish\" setting spray, so I was curious if this was any better.I really like how fine the spray that this makes is, it's a really lightweight mist that if you hold it about a foot from your face covers pretty much the whole thing in a single press. Of course I move it around and probably do 5 or 6 squirts, because I absolutely want to make sure everything is covered and isn't going to come off every time I pull some hair out of my face.The smell is fine, I don't love or hate it, it kind of just smells like makeup, much like my foundation. I like the color of the label on the bottle, it makes it a lot easier to find when I've got half my makeup strewn across my bed while I'm putting a face on and inevitably losing bits and pieces in the mess.It seems however, to be exactly the same as the Nyx setting spray I already have. On the back of the bottles is a number, and this one has the same number (MSS01) but with an H21 at the front. The misters mist exactly the same, the smell, taste (don't ask) and end result seem to be identical. Simply spray onto the face once your make-up is applied, keeping your eyes closed. It dries fairly quickly. I found I actually preferred the matte look over the dewy finish though I like both and indecision will likely mean I'll wear dewy in the daytime and matte for evenings. I applied this product several hours ago. My make-up's still going strong - no colour fade and I've not needed to re-apply. For this use it is very good but it doesn’t absorb oil. I tested this over a 4 hour period (photos attached) I am wearing MAC Fix Fluid foundation and MAC blot powder both of these products absorb excess oil, after 4 hours I need to blot my skin with either blot film or more blot powder and the use of this spray made no difference to that. You can see from my photo my nose is very oily this did not give me a matte finish. It is advertised that you can reapply this to add more of a matte finish and again it did nothing to my oily areas.So as a “finishing spray” great, as a matifying spray rubbish. Depends what you want it to do.
